When we first started camping we always bought new but then smarted up and got used. Hubby is handy so as long as it's nothing major he handles it. The traveling like I wanted to ship has sailed without me, so don't wait to long to pick something and just go. But always take us with you.
Wow, I am actually watching a video on time for once. Your banter with the Voice reminds me of how my husband and I chat on long car rides. I'm not sure you can drive to Hudson Bay. Churchill, Manitoba is only accessible by train or plane. It would make a terrific drive if you could do it. I'm not vegan but I can't have dairy which means I get a lot of vegan products and you pretty much have to eat that way on the road. It's easier to find gluten-free products than dairy-free. It's also easier looking up vegan recipes for baked alternatives than dairy-free, depending on what you do. But I do eat a lot of meat and eggs at home.
Congrats. lol I think the road I watched videos of is called the James Bay Road. It looks and sounds you get to a point where it is barely travelled and people check in at a point so they know someone is travelling the road. Yes - vegan / plant based can be a challenge at times. :-)
@@WanderDano I have looked into the Alaskan Highway that goes from Alberta through the Territories and all the way to Alaska but I don't think I'm brave enough for that. We don't get the time off work to do stuff like that either. The videos look fantastic if you don't mind all the mosquitoes.
I'm traveling this week as well, to take care of my dad. I also get to spend some time with my brother as well, so nothing bad, just old man issues. Hopefully things go well. Congratulations on kicking the nicotine monkey off your back, I also went through cranky times when I was quitting cigarettes.
Everything new and newish are insanely priced!! I keep my fingers crossed that I can keep Cousin Eddie going a little longer without breaking the bank.
all the van lifers say you live on the road anywhere? my Midwestern experiences is that you are very watched, other than the cold. these old women above me are awful in apts...but I have an suv

I also did the RTR 2019 and have no desire to do it again but would love to do Arizona again. But quite a trek from up here in Strathmore Alberta

I went to an rv show last year so 2023 and they had a USED airstream class B, 2015. 145k!! That’s INsANe

IF.... figuring out how the rules go about legally driving some of them here.. properly registering and all -- hhhmmm might be worth some research.
