Tamansari is not a temple. But it used to be a place where the Sultan of Jogja and his family had fun. Tamansari is a large complex. Consists of a water castle, an artificial lake with an island in the middle (cemeti island), and an underground mosque. Nowadays this artificial lake has been turned into a residential area. What remains of them are the remains of tall building that used to be in the middle of an artificial lake. What is also very unique is that these locations are connected by a series of tunnels

Janine those 2 big old trees you must pass them thru in between by walking with your eyes closed while saying your wishes. You must start from the very end of the open field. If you succeed your wishes will come thru....
Janine you should come at Alun Alun kidul the place that you did walking with closing eyes between two Beringin trees at the night...The night time the place more exicting vibe... and could repeat the walking through between two beringin trees start from the right spot that should be...( there are some block stones on the ground north side of the twin beringin trees..that is the true starting point as the tradition ... well..thank you for already visited my lovely town Jogjakarta...hopes you will come back again...

The one you thought LUPIS is called AREM AREM if the vegetables (tempe + others) inside with the outer rice..another kind is called LEMPER with shredded chicken inside with outer sticky rice . BY THE WAY, There are many beautiful beaches in the south of Jogja in kabupaten (county) gunung kidul and kabupaten bantul under jogja province ( not jogja city)..along the way to the beaches you will find many rice field..otherwise, in the north of Jogja , you will find Merapi volcano and the Kaliurang Park for tourists near the foot of the volcano...

That foods is called arem-arem and Javanese croquettes, biterballen are usually smaller circles and sold in quantities of more than 2 and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Some Javanese foods is influenced by Dutch foods. We are Javanese call Dutch people Londho / Holland

I really miss Jogja omg 😞 i have been coming there to study since 2018 and after graduating last July i returned to my hometown. There are many comfortable and enjoyable places. I miss spending lots of time with my funny friends there 😂😂

In Jogja ...there is one tradisional food (salad called LOTEK) . It is similar to GADO-GADO...but LOTEK consisted of all vegetables + bakwan blended into one with peanut sauce...LOTEK COLOMBO is very popular in jogja.
You may find other versions of lotek in other area of Java island and Bali with similar ingredients but different....😊😊
I think you can visit "Lawang Sewu" in Semarang next time, it's a Dutch heritage building from the colonial era
