- To kill boredom and to show my kids some fun experiment - we all made a phonograph. This is really amazing device which allows to record and then play the sound. It was invented by Edison.
In my opinion it's really cool science experiment for kids and parents and schools. - Zábava
I can't imagine how haunting it must've felt to hear your own voice being echoed back for the first time on a machine they invented
go to that frnc guys recording that is the most scary sound i have ever heard
If you cup your ears backwards, you can sort of hear your own voice. It sounds weird anyway.
I like how the kids are helping him💙
They also did like making it ;-)
So wonderful, such an interesting concept for the kids to learn. Bet none of their friends even know what a phonograph is!
Unless they have am only fans account
what does this mean@@Robert-zx2df
@@Robert-zx2df Bro, what?
The first recording device was actually the phonautograph invented by Leon Scott in 1857
But he have no way to listen the audio back, untill... 150 years later...
That was a phonoautograph. The difference being that phonographs record and play sound, whereas phonoautographs just visualise sound waves and simulate the functions of the human ear.
@@raffaeleangeloni9740 we were not even able to know what the Audio sounded like until 2008 when it was converted to sound digitally
@raffaeleangeloni9740 Technically, it did record the sound. And there were a number of sound playing devices already. (Player piano, music box, etc.) The phonograph was merely the first technology that could both record audio and play it back.
@alifr4088 the phonograph was invented like 20 years later, not 150
This is wonderful. It gave me a big smile all the way through the video. Your happy boys are so lucky to have such a father.
Thanks You very much:)
This is so cool! I can now build my own! So great that the boys get to help and learn along the way. I will like and subscribe :)
It’s incredible how this stuff works.
thanks dude, now I can try to make my own phonograph!
did you make it?
@@imagindraco79712 years ago probaly failed
Great! Thanks for the demo. Now I know what's going on inside my Edison phono.
This concept blows my mind
yeah, the tinfoil phonograph wasn't designed to carve its own grooves it had grooves in the Mandrell so the foil just had to be pushed in by the needle by the vibrations to form the recording so, thank you for showing this it was a great experiment!!
Nice teamwork
Amazing project. This is what children should be doing in school.
Should be ok as long as they have adult supervision
This is so awesome!!!!!
DOpiero zauważyłem kto napisał komentarz:) Miło, dzięki ! Pozdrawiam.
Ur kids are awesome :o
Awesome man! New subscriber ✌🏻
Amazing 😍,yes this vedio actually teaches that everything comes from experiment again and again thankyou very much for sharing this vedio
SO COOL!
:) this is an incredible video!!!! ty
Incredible ❤️
Love it 😎👍🍻👏👏👏
Awesome experiment! It feels almost like magical, but it's obviously science. Three questions by the way: so, to reproduce what you recorded - what are you exactly doing? That'd be great to understand. Are you turning the cylinder the other way? and also, for each take you had to put new aluminum foil right? It is so interesting! Thank you for sharing, great content!
That's great
I want to try it
Nic dziwnego, że w XIX i XX wieku tak powszechna była wiara w duchy😂
;)
Ghost/spirits are real go to a haunted abandoned places (with no power) that's highly active.
amazing..thanks for sharing
SO Cool.
I tried to make this phonograph but i didn't used a cylinder, i put the aluminium foil on a cd to record the voice, like a gramophone, and it works!!!
Nice
Would rubber work instead of an iron jar lid? I figured that it would probably record the sounds better since it's more stretchy, but I fear its not strong enough to etch on the tin foil.
I still don’t even understand how it captures sound like wtf lol. Even if it could some how produce what you’re saying, how does it capture the actual sound of voice..so crazy..nice video!
Dude thank god I'm not the only one... like how is this still possible no matter how much they demonstrate or explain it just seems magical, like who was the first person who had this idea to randomly put some stuff together and mess around with in every right way to give us what we have today
I really love this sad thing is I have no wood to make this or tools.
I wonder what if the ancient civilizations could have invented this device and we could hear the voices of peoples that have lived during the ancient Roman,or Greek l,or Egyptian times.Hearing the voice of Alexander the Great,Homer,Aristoteles etc.Because this device seems simple,it was posible to be invented even during these times. What if we find these kind of recorings it would be amazing.
How did you make a hole in glass? In that jar
It's really very good.
Please try to make again more clear voice in new video and easy to make at home.
👌 Good Job

Pozdro z Polski! Ale przydałby się bardziej szczegółowy tutorial do budowy
How did you get your voice sounding steady in the recording?
Magic
what are the materials you used?
Cool. how many RPMs are you rolling at?
You can make video for
vinyl record at home
Very Easy for all of us.
what is the oil you used please??? :/
I still dont understand how the needle can act as such a straight interface, meaning that the scratches that the needle makes, really do match the sound recorded.
How do you move the needle on the cup? Making this rn
I wanna see the actual science of how sound is played back
Hs! I love your accent
What is the white "bowl with a hole in it" you're using from 1:43 - 2:02?
its work omg
yes, but only after many, many, MANY tries
Im try its working
I think Edison Made the Phonograph For American People and Scott made it for French People
scott was the first inventer, making it almost 20 years before edison, edison ripped off scott's idea, and scott died without recognition...
@@ghosty3034edison made it better
ToonDesk be like: Ooo Wow! Imagine Having This Instead of the Voice Memos app. Just crank it up and you will record and hear your voice.
Recording his voice very loud on his custom diy phonograph sound recorder - HI THANKS FOR WATCHING FOR MORE TOONS TOYS N FUN KEEP IT RIGHT HERE TO TOON DESK!
Suddenly, i became dirty minded
How did he play it back
awesome video! but where are you from I am asking because of your accent?
Its not very good, isn't it;) i'm From Poland
@@skillful_DIY_fan I do think your phonograph is pretty good I am also planning to build my own phonograph since I am a big fan of Thomas Edison. Greetings to Poland from Germany 🇩🇪🇵🇱
Where's your converting sound pin?
A what?
its cool and everything but why didn't you put a list of the materials so that if someone wants to do it they don't have to be guessing them.
100 percent real
Scott in the year 1850 be like:
In india it must be a part of school project
wiedziałem, że jak ktoś robi coś takiego to musi być Polak;)
super;)
son, pass my that big dangerous saw and that samurai sword, whilst you at it, some of those green radiation glass balls from ‘The Rock’ - nothing too dangerous `;) good project
Can you please make it talk dirty, for a ringtone?
Invented by Edison a few hundred years ago
ok, maybe not a few hundred, You are right. More like 'almost' few hundred ;-)
Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville was the original inventor edison was an invention thief🙄
@@thedumbanimator25 That guy invented the phonoutograph. While Edison stole many things, his intelligence and creativity cannot be underestimated.
tutorial?
Baground music name
:D i can now die happily. BUT AFTER I BUILD THIS
Do we keep needle and foil in touch
Yes for sure.
Be honest did u give up and just replay the audio... Lol
Mama Mia
Mmmmm😊
Anyone after watching Dr stone😏😏
Mmmm, i think the sound is edited
HELLO HELLO HELOO❤🔥❤🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣
Algorithm gonna pick this up
Probably not, but thanks
A bit too specific for the algorithm but there's hope!
HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO
I don't think this is possible. The lines can scratch to record the vibration but on playing the second time why it didn't diminish. Could anyone explain to me this phenomenon?
…this is a hoax surely? Though regardless his accent just makes me think “Live to far away from Babushka to wish her happy 90th birthday but Soviet union have not thought you important enough to give you a telephone? No problem! Record voice on jar with foil and post it to her, along with instructions on how to make a machine to listen to it!”

is not your voice is a ghost
Repent and trust in Jesus. Hes the only way. We deserve Hell because weve sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven.

I did something similar and it did not work! I tried three times, i’m sure it might work if you have The right stuff, I do not think this is real!
Its scott. Just another invention stolen by edison.
totaly faked. Your Version was too bad to work.
