I consider myself a surf music aficionado and I am not familiar with any of these songs or groups. I am not a typical Dick Dale, Ventures, Surfaris fan, and that's all I listened to. I listened to the Chantays, the Astronauts, the Torquays, the Lively Ones, the Markettes, and so on. Interesting mix, good job!!

Phrygian dominant, double harmonic (byzantine) and harmonic minor are the best scales for surf rock. (These scales sound good in other music genres too)
