The ironic thing is that I recently made my own handle using your water bottle sling vid, and I just added a buckle to both ends which made the buckle in the center and then I did a shark tooth design right on the sling and it came out great, so I did modify your sling vid, instead of having it adjustable with the slide knot i made it into a cows hitch and joined the ends to secure the buckle😂

This is very 😎 cool . I think I have to find some of my old bottles and make them useful again for taking out to day trips .
    Thank you 🙏🏻 . You’re very creative 👍👍

0:46 Never going to unsee that… Especially considering my old dog had a pink nose except for the very front that looked like she dipped the tip of her nose straight down into black paint and the black part of her nose looked just like the cord lock now that you mention it. Lol

Great stuff! I keep a waterbottle next to my bed and with a handle like this it gets so much easier to lift it up and let it down. Highly recommended. I also really like the diy cordlock. That can be used to make a "softshackle" . At first I thought I had invented it until I saw a video of some hipsters making a spacenet. They put together different sections of the net with softshackles instead of metalshackles. And then they do basejumping from the net. Crazypeople. Anyway great upload as always.

3:16 That’s where I’d use a little clip, like a binder clip/chip clip/little spring clamp, to pinch the (orange) cords around the perpendicular (gray) cords to keep them from pulling through while I cinched the cobra knot up. But, I’m really particular, probably a bit ocd, with cords being perfectly even like that. Even hoodie drawstrings gotta hang even or I have to fix them

Thanks. As always, great video. … Just made a couple of these with the plastic ring but will try it this way for the larger bottle.

I have 2 JBL flip 6 Bluetooth speakers I’d like to make handles on but there’s no lips. I made a good one but it didn’t hold on great as I need a super tight non loosening knot for the parts that goes on the speaker. Love the tutorials here

maybe you should consider tying the cobra knots in the other direction starting with the buckle ends. This way when you grab the handle you won't feel the hard melted ends because they'll be down around the neck of the bottle.

I've never heard it called a cobra knot. they've been called sennits in the book i have. mom and i have a childish name for these bottles "Mr. Nalgene". We're grownups I swear. XD
Edit: also the alternate name is useful, since I do fingerweaving as well and in my fingerweaving book there's a "french sennit" close enough in name to cause confusion.
