- This is park #6 on our three week, seven park trip to Lake Superior. In this video we leave Lake Superior for the journey back home. Chutes Provincial Park is in the small town of Massey near the north channel of Lake Huron.
We hiked the Twin Bridges trail that follows the Aux Sables River with epic views of waterfalls and rapids. We floated down the lazy river and Cheryl tried out a facial mask using the clay that lines the shore of the river.
The campground has large sites while still offering some privacy. You can walk, cycle or drive into town for anything you could want or need such as groceries, restaurants, liquor, beer etc as it's all within one kilometer of the park entrance.
After Chutes we head to our final stop of this amazing camping trip, Killbear Provincial Park. We've been to Killbear several times and it never disappoints. This is our first time doing a video review of it.

You guys are good! We were testing you to see if you were paying attention and many of you were. We said that Chutes is the only park between Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie. Many of you on Facebook, Instagram and CZcams pointed out that Fairbanks is also between Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie. Congrats! OUR VIEWERS ARE THE BEST!!! 🥳🥳🙌🙌
There’s also missisaugi! (A little off the highway though!
We really love the hike at Chutes! The rock around the river and falls is simply stunning. We can’t wait to go back there. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to your Killbear post. Love it there too.
You can’t help but love the beauty of the Canadian Shield! Thanks for posting. Rick
Your videos are some of my favourite on CZcams! Vicariously camping through you guys when we can’t get out! Keep up the awesome adventures!
thanks so much for this thurough description. I just reserved to be camping there in September. thanks
Glad it was helpful! Have fun.
Thank you for another fantastic review. ❤
You are in Northern Ontario that is why you can breath :) Chutes is a Lovely park just off hwy :)
Great review…the “outtake at the end was hilarious….
you guys should do things like fun drink to make for each park and stuff like that to improve your channel because i think you have a great base of a channel for sure
Thank you for another great video. Chutes is in my backyard (just over 1 hr away) & is on my bucket list!
Another great video . Brought back good memories from our visit there last year
Glad you enjoyed it.
Another great one guys. I have to say Cheryle is just the best 👍👍👍👍
I agree! She is the best! 😊
We just bought our first trailer and this was our first camping experience as it’s 15 mins from our home so made for a good first trial run and we actually really enjoyed it!
Another great video guys and there's also a park north of Elliot Lake small one but there is one
Saw the video on my TV 22 minutes after you uploaded it, but could not find to leave a comment. I liked it, especially your alert on the rapids. I don't think my husband and children will like to be to a small park where we will be done within a day. I think we will restrict ourselves to Lake Superior PP and Sleeping Giant PP. Looking forward to seeing your video on Killbear.
Great review!!! We went to Chutes this year for the first time just a neat little park. There was a restaurant just in town called the Dragonfly and they made a awesome hamburger, CHEERS!!!
Thanks for the restaurant tip. Happy camping!
Thanks for the great review. Will be there for one night this Thursday on our way to the Soo. I have a cousin who lives here so hoping to connect with him and his family for a quick visit. Really enjoying your videos
Thanks. Have fun!
Great video! This park is definitely on our list - I just wanted to let you know that there’s actually 2 parks between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie!! Chutes and Fairbank! Fairbank is the first park I’ve ever been too - it’s small but definitely a must visit.
Thanks for the info!
Love your videos. My wife and I were camping at Chutes when you were there. Our Leonberger Bella and I managed to have a cameo appearance at the dog beach area the day you were filming and having the spa treatment.
We certainly remember you there. Bella was cooling off in the water. We were admiring her beauty. Great spot for the dog....and spa for us. Thanks for checking in!
i just subscribed ,good video we there in late spring this is one of my favorite parks unfortunately well we doing the trail someone riffled through your site im am very careful to lockup this can happen at any park , this is great serious your doing thanks im sure you will be told about Fairbank a hundred times, looking forward to your killbear video hope the weather cooperates
Thanks for the sub! Enjoy all our videos. Lots of park review and more. Happy camping!
Thanks for the great video, Cheryl and Ben. We haven’t camped north of Mikisew yet due to work limitations but we want to get up there in the next couple of years. Your description reminds me of Awenda and Arrowhead PPs.
Chutes was a nice place to camp for a couple of nights on a multi-park trip. I would say that we would probably prefer going back to Awenda or Arrowhead over Chutes, now that we've been to them all. Especially since Chutes is so much further for us, being from Southern Ontario.
@@CampingwiththeColes Yes. I was thinking you could make the trip up to Pancake Bay or Lake Superior PP with stopovers at Arrowhead or Mikisew or Killbear and then Chutes to reduce the drive length each day.
Me and my fiancée love watching your videos! You guys make great reviews! Was wondering if you know where your friends got there bed rack ?(seen in 6.41 mark) from ? As I have same truck different model and would like to add a rack like theirs so I can pack our kayaks when towing our trailer! Keep up the great work👍🏻
Hey thanks for watching our videos! John made the kayak rack himself out of 2X4s that he painted black. It's a real nice design and he can take the kayaks on and off by himself very quickly. He is a smart guy and just figured out how to make them himself (he's kinda cheap too😁).
bawhahahahaha. The ending was the best. omgoondness. I say it every time to my husband but never on here; I love that you have gained such popularity, but dear heavens I hate the ad interruptions :P Looking forward to Killbear, one of my favourites too!
OMG!! Thanks for pointing out the ad interruptions. I just had a look and saw all the ad interruptions. CZcams puts a bunch of mid video ads in and I always remove all but one. I just removed them now. It's better now. Sorry about that.
Tiny park stores seem to be common at camping parks that are not that large and are very close to the nearest grocery store.
Makes sense.
Who would have taught Tom Segura loved camping so much?
You're the second person with a Tom Segura comment. I guess I get it a tiny little bit.🤷🏻♂️
