My name is Vincent Guyard, I was born at the end of October 1987.
I started my life with the Firemen at the age of 11.
At 16, I became a volunteer firefighter at my firehouse in Pierre Bénite in the Rhône department (69).
I then became a Young Firefighter instructor.
At 18, I became a fireman with the Paris Fire Department.
That same year, in 2006, I became French rope-climbing champion.
I only had a 5-year contract (during which I made my first CZcams videos [2007], filming myself on calls!📹💻 ).
I then worked as a bike messenger in Paris for 2 years🚴 .
In 2013 I passed the Non-officer professional fireman exam, but I decided not to become a Sapeur Pompier Professionnel and re-enlisted at the Paris Fire Department with the main goal (and huge dream) of joining the brigade📹💻 communications office! I repeated the recruitment selections and training in Villeneuve Saint Georges, where I ended up valedictorian💪 . A few months after my 2nd incorporation in a fire company, I was honored to be interviewed by the Paris Fire Brigade Communication Office, which was looking for a camera operator/editor. The head of the communication office refused to recruit me, without giving any reasons...
I then decided to leave everything to travel around the world🌍 🎒.
Since March 24, 2015 I've been wandering the world. I've (so far) visited Thailand for several months, crossed Vietnam and Cambodia, toured Taiwan by Auto-Stop (~2000km) sleeping only in local homes, stayed in Bali, toured - for 6 months - both islands of New Zealand by Auto-Stop (~5000km) and sleeping only in local homes too, crossed New Caledonia by Auto-Stop, visited Melbourne in Australia, lived for 6 months in Taiwan where I scooted almost 5,000km and lived through 6 typhoons, visited the Philippines and crossed Laos! I also cycled 4,000km in California for 3 months, sleeping only with local people! It was great ... :-D
On the sporting front, I've completed several major challenges: climbing Mont-Blanc and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the New York marathon, the Diagonale des fous on Reunion Island, the Amazones raid in French Guiana...
I even went to Russia to climb Mount Elbrus (on the border with Georgia), but I had to change my plans once I got there due to terrorist attacks...
In preparation for these major challenges, I scribbled down a training program.
The Guyard method was born! 💪

Today, on the strength of these experiences, I help young people wanting to become firefighters.
I accompany them throughout their recruitment process, which is often very long and arduous, in order to develop their self-confidence.
I'm also developing my business as a video editor on the theme of firemen! I plan to develop my CZcams channel and make it a reference on the firefighter universe.

Hello, encore une vidéo bien tournée qui nous fait vivre aux cotés de pompiers de Bruxelles qui sont particulièrement efficaces, bravo à eux. Les prises de vue sont efficaces, ne change rien stp. J'apprécie énormément vos vidéos et le travail de vos collègues pompiers. Pourquoi vous ne nous dites jamais comment et à cause de quoi les incendies se déclarent? Cela permettrait d'avoir un aspect préventif? D'autant que vous nous dites qu'il y a beaucoup d'incendies à Bruxelles.
Je trouve aussi que ce serait très intéressant et positif
Salut Vincent à Forbach le week-end dernier dans la nuit de samedi à dimanche il ya eu deux incendie criminelle contre un snack et un boulangerie en plein centre ville il ont du sortir les deux FPT les pompiers de Forbach

In the pictures, I can frequently see the fire ladder basket lifting a hose. Why is the integral ladder piping that goes up to the basket not being used?

Certes ce ne sont pas des échelles mais ont une fonction identique, les BEA (Bras ÉlévaterurAutomatqiue) de chez BRONTO Skylift HLA vont de 72 mètres à 112 mètres. La ville de Barcelone par exemple en dispose d'un de 100 m.

The tallest ladder in europe? London Fire Brigade in the UK have 3x 64 metre tuntable ladders, and they have been in service for over 18 months

@@VincentFireLife looks like you use ladders a lot more than the UK. They seem to get mobilised to all building fires in your videos, In the UK they get sent too high rise fires only.
