Finally got to draw Flora's Enchantix!! I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. Tecna and Bloom will wrap up the Enchantix series - should I draw other characters before jumping into Believix?

And I can definitely relate to being jealous / envious of artists who are way better than me, but I really admire how you draw simple poses and they are stunning arts. Aw, thank you! I'm posting every other week now since that's all I can really manage (planning, drawing, filming and editing) with a full time job during the regular work week. Hopefully you'll still look forward to my videos!

First of all, the drawing is gorgeous. The lines are not heavy or bold and the flow is super loose which makes for the dynamics of the character.
Second, I would have gone over the top folds of the ruffles with a R59 or R89 (copic colors) and then I would add in an RV52 for the inside of the fabric. I would also top the dots off with the same first two colors of Red. That way you’d get a perfect balance of dark and light pinks/reds. I also agree that a color test would have been necessary as the cap colors are quite deceiving when you initially get them.
Otherwise, I think you did a great job with this one! ❤️✨
Thanks Lauren! If I wasn't filming and rushed to get this video out, I definitely would have spent more time on it! Since I only have one day dedicated to filming (due to my full time job during the weekdays & one day dedicated to editing) this definitely could have been developed more. I also don't own a ton of copics but thank you for your input! 😊
@@SketchingwithRabbits Ah, that’s totally understandable. Normally, I would plan what colors I use in advance to filming when I used to film YT videos. But university has kept me quite busy! ✨ Great job regardless of what flaws might be present in the work. It’s beautiful either way!
so good!! do you use the same paper for coloring on which you did the original sketch? and with what material do you make the outline of before you start coloring with the markers?
Thanks! The original sketch is on regular old copy paper and I transfer the artwork with a light table and use red lead in a 0.5 mechanical pencil. I plan to do a video going over my process in depth so you can see all the materials & methods I use to create my art!
