I agree with pretty much everything said here. But it's pretty disingenuous to compare the price of a new pair of headphones with a refurbished pair of headphones while under the assumption that they are both brand new.
I think you should spend a lot less time harping on price, because even just 4 months later they’re already $100 cheaper, which changes the entire equation here. So I think you could future-proof these videos better if you focused more on sound/features, and fixate less on price
Surprising that this video doesn’t even mentions the biggest drawback of QC45 is that it becomes unusable in windy conditions due to anc being always on. New Quietcomfort address that issue but apart from that it is mostly the same. So if you want to wear the headphones everywhere then QC45 is not even an option.
For those saying that Bose (as a company) is falling behind... I just received the brand new Bose Quietcomfort Ultra earbuds and they're incredible! The immersive audio is the best I've ever heard. I wish that they would've put the same tech into the quietcomfort headphones that are discussed in this video. Maybe the next gen will have it.
I couldn’t agree with you more. I just picked up the QC Ultra and the sound is amazing. I’m thinking the people that have an issue with the sound are ones that like flat sounds. And your right, the immersive feature is not gimmicky like some of the others, I’ve used it while listening to music and movies and it’s simply amazing!
Note that the price difference you were showing was comparing a new Quiet Comfort and a “RENEWED” QC45. Just FYI. I do appreciate the honesty on the sound though. Found that very interesting.

I owned both Sennheiser Momentum 4 and Bose QC45 and I chose to keep the Momentum 4 for the following reasons: The audio is far better with a Much stronger bass, the battery is 60hrs vs. 24hrs for the QC45, and the momentum has far better Microphones for phone calls. Overall better value for the money ! On the other hand, the Bose has a much better ANC and I love the buttons.
From what I can tell the new 'Quiet Comfort Headphones Wireless' (which are not the 45s) have an excellent mic for phone calls. One of the main reasons I want new headphones it to take audio notes, and give my smart phone commands.
I am still using my xm4 headphones, and I have had them since they cane out and I want to upgrade, I am thinking of going for the xm5 headphones or waiting for the Bose QC ultra? Please, any suggestions and opinions will be greatly while keeping in my mind wallet, please, haha.
They are not quiet the same . QC 45 doesn't have windblown and in-line microphone, but agree if ANC not deal breaker Momentum 4 Wireless are better value
Do you know is the QC45 can play music with the 3.5 mm cable and no battery charge like the Beats Solo? I never charged my solo 3 for two years and it still had power when I used the 3.5 mm cable.
I am confused. you are saying the Momentum 4 are 100 cheaper, but you are showing refurbished compared to new. I think that is disingenuous. On Amazon currently, the new quietcomfort are only 30 bucks more. Of course it makes little sense to upgrade from the QC45.
I wear OTE sound canceling headphones during flying on Aircraft and when others don't want to be disturbed on the ground. I like my Bose "buds "several variations. A5 5 band EQ would be nice for the present, future and past for updates.
The Bose quietcomfort wireless is not very reliable. I bought these from Amazon new and I have had problems with them almost from the beginning. They were fine at first but then they just starting cutting off. I also had problems with their earbuds. I tried twice to like Bose but I just seem to have problems with them. I think I'll just have to get the Sony wh-1000xm5. I do not have problems with Sony.
O just dont get bose, this model they screwed up the eq. The qc 45 has limited options in the app. I have the nc 700 and that model has it all. Good sound, nc and eq + adjustable nc options. So i know they can make a good headphone they just bounce around a lot.
Does anyone have experienced reviews listening to classical, metal, and jazz on these? I think that's the bulk of what will feed through if I do purchase.
Harley from SoundGuys here! During my time with the device I listened to a variety of classical/orchestral pieces. I found that stringed instruments sounded pretty good on these headphones. However, the emphasized low-end does mean that low strings like cellos and double bass, as well as timpani and other drums, sound a little louder than I'd prefer. Some people may appreciate this extra bass, others may not. Hope this helps. Happy listening!

i haven't ever used noise cancelling earbuds, but i have heard that over ear headphones are better at noise cancelling than earbuds. also even if it doesn't cancel out your neighbors entirely, it'll definitely help a lot, so it might be worth a shot! i hate having noisy neighbors
I've got new headphones for Christmas. They doesn't stay connected more than 30 seconds or I can get an app for connection. It was free for 5 days and then I have to pay a monthly fee. I throw them in the garbage where this company belongs. And bought a pair at Walmart fo 28 bucks that works as good.
sent them back after 1 hour bose quietcomfort headphones , cheap plasticky , no touch controls , no auto pause when removed from head poor battery life , back to sennheiser momentum 4 , better sound , better build , 60 hr battery , and bought them cheaper than bose ...........
Better to buy QC25 And run it through a quality bluetooth adapter/amp. You will have a massive increase in sound quality and a huge drop in price. And it even has a replaceable AAA battery, for longitivity and convenience. QC25 is the real upgrade, and many people miss that point.
no mention about the shitty ass delay while clicking the action button, the shitty custom profiles, equalizer not syncing to the bose but device only, turning on/off awful sound effects and so on? come on, Micro USB is trash but i'd give up the usb-c for a better experience of the QC 35 (the description I gave is from the QuietComfort, idk about the other shit with bose's shitty branding onto 45 / 45 ... I'm glad I don't listen to a lot of these videos because my my Bose qc45 stopped turning on I was charging them and they wouldn't turn on I had it for like since July 2022 so I looked on Walmart and these headphones the quiet comforts were 245.00 on sale so I brought them and so far they've been better power than the last ones maybe because the battery is in the brand new but and the sound has been really good and I haven't had any problems so when I first watched the videos before the headphones got here I started getting discouraged but I'm satisfied with them

knowin it still uses bluetooth 5.1 that's bullsheeet considerin this is a newer headphone from 2023 and other brands already uses bt 5.3 like soundcore q45 and its 2x cheaper than these crap .. definitely not worth it.

These also choke you when they are around your neck and I am a female, can’t imagine what they would be like in a guy. I got mine at Costco.
Dont forget that the Sennheisers last up to 50hrs, while these... NEW Bose ones are up to 18

Bose quiet comfort is weak. I bought it today and it didn't noise cancel much of anything and the sound quality was okay at best.😔

I lived in seattle and bose headphones are still one of the most popular headphones you see....and thats in the heart of seattle tech hub .so haters..
