Deron Williams was so close to coming back to his best in 2013 but he had to bruise his ankle in the summer of 2013. it effected his whole 2014 season. Hopefully Deron could come back to his best and lead the nets and put his injuries behind him. Him and CP3 have always been my favorite players.

Williams is one of the only 1's who can average 20 and 10. Derrick rose and kyrie are more in the 22-27 and 6-8 assists range. Rondo is a 13-14 and 11-13 assists range. Westbrook is like a 27-30 and 6-7 assists range. Williams and paul are probably the two best at balancing their shots and passes.
D-will is my the best scoring and dishing pg in the league. He will be great next year if he stays healthy. He's my favorite player

Let all the haters do exactly what they do, but to their own chagrin or denial of what true contributions Deron brings to the BASKETBALL TABLE. Long before, he was shining in UTAH, yes Utah he was developing his pg, skills in Texas. He played with Bracey W. , who during there high-school years was ranked ahead of d.will. Anytime you average 8 to 9 ass/ + scoring in the 18 to 20 range you deserve whatever high accolades his counterparts label him as.
Deron with his smarts alone ( basketball I.Q.), able to hit 3's off catch or penetration. Usually makes the correct play, while he is not wowing or mesmerizing fans, he is similar to Tony Parker to this degree, he gets it done....Derrick Rose and Westbrook are considered athletes first/ is it because of there innate ability to blow by anybody or DUNK in dramatic fashion. Deron can dunk but does he have a 40 something inch vertical, Rose before this painful season if you remember was never great at hitting the 3. NOW HE has ramped it up in hitting a number of likable, winning threes-meaning he is still striking plays within the offense. Deron's game is to get the ball to the bigs, Boozer, the other Big Utah had was very successful during Derons stint in UTAH. New jersey now BROOKLYN, IS BLESSED TO HAVE SOMEONE who can create off dribble, make assists like people make money - DERON PROBABLY GETS UP PASSING A PERFECT PASS!

Lol Deron avg'd 12 assists per game 3 years in a row. I already said the Nets ran an anti-PG offense last year. Deron avg'd 24-8 on 48% shooting in the second half, when he was healthy.

Right now, I would rank them- C.Paul, Derrick Rose -potential/will he get the players around him to keep his game above rim, or will he change into basically a scorer that occasionally sets up others, Deron Williams 3rd - his fundamentals, experience and the potential for being a leader in a mixture of SOME OLD AND YOUNG STARS may lend him the hardware he has been wanting far long enough....rondo is the quasi- cool - cat, if his JUMPER was 100% legit then we would be saying Rondo is no.1. HAS TO CONTINUE TO make strides/ in other parts of his game, strategies -using pick and pop, or roll/his shooting the open j,,,,needs improvement; but considering what he has done already I would say he is just about a cut near or above the top 3 or 4 because he has a championship.

Holiday was horrible in the 2nd half of last season, while Deron Williams shined. You do realize Deron's assists were down because his team ran an Iso offense with nobody to space the floor, right?
This year, alone we have seen ( Rondo, Williams, Rose and Westbrook injured in one way or another). The game is physical yes, but players must know how to keep their bodies from enduring so much pain or hurt to the bones or muscles. Deron was also a little baby fat,,chunky, now IF YOU look at his frame it is thick but strong.

I know this is going to sound crazy...Williams needs to leave Brooklyn (not that part, that's just common sense) and he needs to go to New Orleans. They have a good young squad in need of an offensive engine. Also, Williams then has the freedom to take over when he gets it going. He needs to be a pelican.

Curry is not a better scorer. Curry is a better shooter, his shooting opens up other parts of his game. However without the shooting Curry can not touch D-Will when it comes to penetrating/finishing, etc.
Also Deron tries harder to get his teammates involved.

Deron Williams to me compares to Mark Jackson or Lafeyette Lever or Walt Frazier , Chris Paul is similar to Mark Jackson- Tim Hardaway/ his glamor in the open floor is a thing of greatness, but DERON --ROSE THE AIR ELECTRIC AND HIGH FLYER WESTBROOK ARE ALL Players that have a chance to be HALL OF FAMERS...Question is - WHAT IS THE NBA OWNERS GOING to do to put players around them to make them champs....so far, Williams has had some good teams not great. Rose O.K. teams but the challenge for the Bulls is dwindling into a messed up state.

Westbrook, Parker, Curry, and Rose are all better pure scorers and Williams is barely top 5 for passing point guards. (Rondo, Paul, Rubio, and Holiday all better passers
