Love this! Reducing waste in the makeup industry by actually using up products is critical
Love this. Donât throw out makeup that can be salvaged. I hate the waste. Great tips
I re-sell a lot of makeup too.
Another of my favorite bad product tip is when you have lipstick in the wrong shade or undertone, you can use a lip liner in a more flattering undertone to neutralize it or transform it into something flattering. If it's very pigmented, you can also mix the lipstick with oil to sheer out the color and turn it into a gloss. I usually do a combination of both on those occasions where I misjudge the color of something.
Never spend a good makeup day without taking a selfie. đ
@michelletabisz5994
Love your tips, thank you! I hadnât thought of sheering out the pigment that way. I love that option!
If you love the lipstickâs coverage but the shade is too dark, I add a teeny-tiny itty-bitty drop of foundation to a swatch of the lipstick on a clean surface and mix until I come up with my desired shade.
You are such a inspiration to me!! I have stage 4 cancer and so many times I have wanted to give up. But remembering your story and all that you have been through, gives me hope. For myself and my business!! I cannot thank you enough for sharing your story!đ
Jane, never stop believing love. You donât know me, but since your post I am holding you in my heart †and in my prayers to god. Julie
Prayers for you đ â€ïž

As soon as you said painterly paint pot I almost criedâŠ. It was the first make up advice I took from CZcamsâŠ.from youâŠ.my all time favourite CZcamsr. Love you Marlena!!
I put like a half a drop of Vaseline under my eyes and let it sink in for about 15/20 minuets before I do my makeup and it makes my concealer work so much better.
Marlena, I watched you growing up. You were my first favorite influencer before that was even a thing! I rediscovered your channel after everything (unfortunately) happened to you and your business but I'm so happy this brought me back to you because you bring me a feeling I never got from anyone else on here! Such a kind genuine soul, I love still learning from the very best. Thank you for coming back!
They also push old products and old trends. Ppl are being scammed. Also here on CZcams watching everyone doing the same or showing the same products is so overwhelming. Thank you for what you do. Love you tons â€
Iâve mixed powder pigments (eyeshadow or highlighter) with Bassline and used it as a lip gloss and eye tint/balm for days when I donât have much time to do my makeup.
Also, itâs very easy to make your own lip oils and then color them with powdered eyeshadow or highlighter
Feels like I'm back in the 2000s, watching Marlena's tutorials đđ„°
I appreciate you staying interested and working with makeup all this time!! I Can tell you still have an interest in it!! So many people lost the passion it seems!!
I have always liked you Marlena!! I Can just tell that you truly are a good person!! It comes through and it just doesnât with most people!! You are real and not although kind, not fake!!!
I love this concept - letâs use what we already have. I am excited to shop my stash and see what I can use in a different wayâŠ
For me, sheering out thicker concealers for my dry under eyes is the best takeaway.
Me too! I bump into this with concealer all the time
Inglot mix in medium makes your eyeshadows water, touch and transfer proof.
I have hooded eyelids and the inglot mix in product makes it possible fore me to not have creasing eye makeup.
Mix it writh some eyeshadows and you have an amazing eyeliner in your own choice of color and still transfer proof.
Big hugs from Denmark đčđ„°
Is that the clear medium? I do have a bottle of that, Iâve only used it like in my MAC painterly pot to rehydrate it.
@@BlingyBea
Yes it is called inglot dualine mix in medium.
If you juse it on eyes then give it a little time to dry.
Yes you can hydrate color pop eyeshadows in the pots and more.
I always mix it on a littlel plastic lid, if you mix it in a eyeshadow it wril get crusty and hard to juse again.
There are a lot of videos on CZcams how to juse it.
Good luck đđčđ„°
@@snudder.s.m.l.5026 thank you, Iâll go take a look, had no idea
@@BlingyBea
I didn't know it myself, I heard it in a video about what and how to juse it... It works đđ„°
Thanks for taking the time to show us all how to make a bad makeup product more useful!
I LUV this empowering video! Itâs like a âshop your stash,â but adding a bit more of an emphasis on âsave your stash/cash.â Love it! Thanks so much Marlene!!
I've never tried shape tape (that's out of my price range for concealer). I have tried the elf concealer cuz so many people say it's a dupe. But even the creamy version is dry on me, so I'm gonna try these tips to see if that helps me be able to use it!
Definitely try adding an eye cream! I tried it this morning & it worked nicely. đ
Iâd love to try more high-end products but I refuse to spend $50.00+, on a foundation to have the brand nameâs signature scent stay with me the whole day.
Iâll stick to either Believe Beauty or Clinique (thatâs as high-end as Iâll go $35.00).
Iâm so thrilled to see you posting more.

.
I love the scent of Dior products . Pretty strong but I like it.
I have a harder time with LancĂŽme though. Expensive is not always the best, thatâs for sure!!
My favorite highlighter is from essence, better than not Dior , Chanel and urban decay in my opinionđ

Years ago, maybe going back 10, I bought a waterproof mascara that had a very thin brush specially for lower lashes. The smell never fadedâŠđ€ą.
It took me about a 1/2 hour to figure out what was causing my nausea. I tossed it out.
Some smells & flavors can bring on migraine, nausea and the scents get caught in my nose and whatever I eat or drink tastes like the fragrance⊠So much fun ugh đŁ
You're a class-act. I can't help but laugh at how you use MUG eyeshadows in the patchy eyeshadow segment. đ We all know your shadows are far from patchy! I hope you bring them back someday! I've used them both in my personal collection and in my pro kit, and clients always asked me what I used and were surprised when I told them it wasn't one of those expensive luxury brands. đ
Great tips! I have been adding eye cream after applying my concealer for years without knowing I was doing a makeup hack! I have really dry skin and have found it helps my concealer to not look dry and cakey. â€
Two thumbs up for this video! Excellent tips and what a great idea for a video!!
Sending Love â€ïžâŠTerriâŠAre you single? đč
I had an eye primer I had to get rid of. I'm not a headache prone person, but that one gave me migraines. Thanks for the tips!â€
So refreshing to see someone encouraging less waste
I know im not the only one that is going through all my pallets i NEVER needed... NOW I NEED THEM! Thanks for this vid. â€
Yessss too muchh
Tysm! I cannot wait to play around with my concealers. Every single one I've tried has been odd under my eyes.
I agree! That wet n wild foundation was horrible on my skin.
This past year has been the first time in my life where not living paycheck to paycheck, and Iâve been so happy to finally be able to experiment more and spurge a bit more on makeup. But man Iâve ended up with so many duds. At this point Iâm almost scared to buy new makeup because Iâm worried I wonât end up liking the products
You know you can take it back. If it doesnât work for you, most places will return your money if youâre not happy with the product.
Love to see you back to your giftâŠteaching!
I missed teaching too!
LOVING this content â€â€â€ Marlena you are on fire!
So glad your'e loving it! :)
Your eye shadow in this video is EVERYTHING!!!!
First off, I just want to say how freaking gorgeous you are without makeup!! Second, thank you soooo much for these tips I'm discovering new ways to use some of my makeup! â€â€
I really loved wet in wild, but my skin is scary dry! It's silly that people gave you so much grief over something that didn't work for you. Of course cosmetics don't work for everyone. Great video đâ€đ
You are brilliant. Iâve watched hundreds of other videos on so many channels learning almost nothing and then you cram so much info into a short amount of time. Thank you!
This is an awesome video with an endless amount of tips. I feel like I can watch this a few times, and pick up a new tip, or recommendation that I didn't hear the first time around. So grateful to you for this video, and for the high caliber content that you offer us! â€
OMG you are hysterical!! Been watching you for years and I just love your attitude and your knowledge. You are my kind of people. Wish I could get a one on one session so I could be the best looking 67 year old woman I know, Thanks for your Great Videos
Generally I return makeup with problems like this, but if a company doesnât allow these are amazing tips! I recently bought two Colourpop concealers that oxidize like crazy and company donât take returns.
On the clips where you had little to no makeup on, I was stunned at your natural beauty! Wow, you are gorgeous and have great skin!
This video was so helpful. The amount of products I have purchased that didn't work for me made me feel like I must have been doing something wrong. Now I'll give them another go. đ
Yes could you please do a demo of how to change foundations especially if something is too yellow I would also like for you to do one that explains how you determine if you have neutral cool or warm undertones
FYI the eyeshadow palette she used for the " patchy" eyeshadow is a makeup geek palette. Excellent quality. Excellent!
Their shadows were amazing, it prob expired if it was even MUG
Wish they came back but I am waiting patiently for what her ext release will be â€â€ support a great person ..
@@machinegunkimmy powder shadow don't expire like that. I've got a 5 year old discontinued palette that hasn't expired. Quality, everything is the same.
I have powders from 8 years ago, perfect! Cremes, now that's another story đą
@elainebines6803 me too! I still use them. I have done a bunch of declutters and these 3 particular palettes stay with me.
Yes to sharing how to adjust foundation.
So great to see you making vids giving us tricks and tips and showing us how to apply our makeup.
I love how you say âcontourâ. Makes it sound so fancy! đ as always, really great tips and a couple I hadnât ever thought of. Thank you for all that you do đ
Have used a bit of eyeshadow to correct foundation color before, eyeshadow for blush and contour. Love seeing the MG products I cherish in use and action. Still use my shadows, round and square pan, blush, bronzer and highlighters. Even have the sparkling loose pigments. Keep sharing your knowledge and experience. Wishing you all the best always and forever.
Thank you for being so real with us!! â€
âToss that shit outâ đ

Fantastic content! †Thank you!
I love your makeup tips SO much. You are an absolute joy to watch.â€
Sooooo helpful...now to remember it all!!
Great advice, as usual!đ
This is the best video EVER!!!!! Cause we all bought makeup that we are stuck with or subpar makeup we arenât happy with and either canât afford or donât find it important to buy luxury products⊠so we have an abundance of meh products we gotta work with. And a lot of these meh products are high end products that are disappointing for the price.
Love love love this!!!!!!!!
The urban decay quickie concealer was super dry and patchy for me, that concealer trick is a great idea, Iâll try mix in an eye cream
loved the bronxer and highlighter tip! awesome as always!â€â€â€

This was a great tutorial!
I don't like Anastasia or Tarte so cakey..I mix with my foundation that's is so orange from Dior. Love Dior and glowing finish ( I am 62). But didn't know I can use eye cream for soothing look.
Thank you â€
Your eyeshadow and blending is the best I've ever seen đđđ.
