Nice perspective. Aligning employee performance to corporate goals is critically important. Setting employee goals should be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results-Oriented and Time Based)
That's one thing I should have added in this video! Thanks for adding it to the comments.

Great tips! Love that you recommended some great tools! Slack is one of my FAV! Though I'm in love with Trello over Asana hehehe
Oh totally agree--Slack is great! I haven't used Trello, but I've heard really good things. Maybe I should try that out, too!

BOSS! This is a really useful video for first time managers bc I feel like alot of people doubt their ability to step into a management role due to the fact that they don't know what to expect. This really explains some core foundations that are common across many industries, great video!
Thanks for watching! I agree completely with your comment. Everyone is capable of being a high performer in management if they know what to expect :)

This is a great video! My company will have managers soon enough (right now it's me as the CEO but I've been training my Number 2 to manage contractors so I don't have to). Subscribing because this is definitely going to come up for us!
Glad you enjoyed it, Amanda! I love startups, and once you get really great people on staff, you'll be able to scale like crazy. They're lucky to have someone like you who's thinking ahead about management training because that's a huge competitive advantage.
hit me pls.
Soft skills can be the difference in landing new roles! Great video!
Thanks! Couldn't agree more... and a lot of young managers don't intentionally adjust their soft skills, so they get stuck.
lest help each others.
Great tip!
Thanks!
Leading a team for the first time is not easy, we get scared and don't know how to function, I think this is very helpful for those that are just starting this stage
