I do a lot of training for highschool Athletics down in Atlanta, and when I am selling to parents what the value of all this work is, one of the biggest things I lead with is "Resilience in the face of adversity." You face something difficult, and you succeed. Sometimes you face something difficult, and you fail. I think besides all of the physical benefits, the weight room is meant to prepare you for both outcomes, especially when it comes to athletes at the start of their career. Thanks for touching on how learning to work hard is invaluable. I see it everyday.
Some people are losing games because they aren't mentally tough enough to win them, and the strength/conditioning work can help that. Hard exercise leads to hormonal/mood changes that affect everything - even how well you do geeky work indoors sitting at a laptop. You think better thoughts if you've been in contact with reality in the gym recently!
Fully agree on Olympic lifts. I'm definitely not a particularly naturally athletic dude, and it really did not take me long to put together decent clean and snatch technique. It doesn't have to be perfect, just good enough.
I saw Zach Telander even talk to his BJJ guys and said the powers at least aren't too technical. I think a lot of coaches over complicated the lifts and a lot of people do as well
awesome video! definitely a go to for youtube fitness! love the commentary and the short videos. very informative. for your next Q&A, any thoughts on cardio? any tidbits?
Will I’m new to your channel but really appreciate your guidance. Most respectfully, you’re going to have to do something with the way your US Flag is displayed. Nothing should be over top the US Flag or touching it when displayed on a wall. If you are not sure just check a reputable site and proper display. It sounds like nagging but very serious business for some of us.

Do you have any recommendations for recovering and preventing a recurring disc bulge in the lumbar?
should you do ploys after lifting?
do you feel the deadlifts any differently wearing the weightlifting shoes?
Hey Will, is half rack worth it instead of simple squat stands? bench aside.
Every kid I see at the high school doing Oly lifts start out with the bar out too far, and no contact.
