Tshifhiwa Matodzi has been sentenced to an effective 15-years imprisonment. He was the chairperson of VBS Mutual Bank, which collapsed in 2018 after being looted for years.

People misread the Affidavit. It (the Affidavit) has got nothing to implicate Malema, Brian and EFF in a corrupt manner. That affidavit was leaked intentionally so that it can be declared inadmissible and the eff goes free again.
So, if this affidavit cannot be proven, he does not get his plea bargain. That's very interesting.
Remember this heist was Investigated by that young white female investigative journalist and by Advocate Terry Motaung and now Mr Matodzi himself. The journalist was called all sort of names. I am glad the affidavit was leaked, because the whole heist weighed so heavinly on him and he didn't benefit alone, but a lot of high profile politicians , who are still in denial even to this day and mostly from the ANC.
DR Groenewald , pls ensure that Mr Matodzi is well protected and he must be careful what food he eats in prison, they can poison him. It can happen that he's still going to expose others and especially that he turned a state witness..

If it was a ‘donation’ then the payment should have been made directly to the EFF’s bank account, which it wasn’t, it was made via Floyd’s brothers company Stimeka, which is why the suspicion, and this can be proved.

It is strange that a plea bargain would be contingent on reaching a guilty verdict. It would be interesting to see the actual plea bargain in this case. Because, usually with a plea bargain, the person making the deal must only cooperate completely with the prosecution. That means making an official statement, providing any available evidence, and testifying in court if necessary. A plea bargain that was only honored AFTER sentencing would deter many from entering into the plea, because they would be taking a huge, possibly life-endangering risk with absolutely no guarantee that it will be worth it. Who would put their life on the line for a maybe?
