    Ben...you actually did not put the transmission/throttle response in Sport mode. You have to tap down on the shift lever one time to do so.
    When you put the vehicle in sports mode, it only adjusted things like steering feel/dampers but in order in increase throttle response/transmission, you need to tap down on that lever.
    Try it next time. The transmission shifts much faster, and more aggressively. Great review!

    The 3-Series has been perfected. Other than that new screen, the car is near perfect now. Here is a 4-cylinder that romps. A V6 IS350 gets smoked.

    Had a 2020 330i xDrive before getting the new 2023 M340i xDrive and honestly the 330i never left me wanting more power. It’s quick, efficient, and was a blast to drive. It’s even more fun off the line (and with more pops & burbles) once you code Sport+, which BMW USA deletes on 330i models. Having said that, love the raw power above 70MPH that the M340i gives me now…and even more so with Sport+ engaged.

    Too bad they don't offer the diesels anymore. My 328D xdrive gets 50mpg Hiway in the summer time about 43 in the winter on an 80 mile hiway trip. Also gets about 35mpg doing city driving. Way more efficient that these things.

    • @RCtennis3811
      @RCtennis3811 Před rokem

      Yeah but the diesels have never been as quick or fun as the petrol versions. BMW sells an M340d and a M340i in some markets; the petrol is faster off the line and, well, in pretty much every metric up to 155MPH.
