The key is being aware of where you are and where the opposition is on the pitch. That look of the shoulder is crucial.

developing the vision for a midfielder or any player in football takes a long time at least 10 years it is very difficult these drills helps the technique but vision comes with playing.

I think passing receiving and turning is soccer's ABC. This exercise very usefull. I wish success all of athletes and coaches on behalf of "STA" :)

A pretty good simple turning drill, to progress you could work on different turns. could also get players checking their shoulders before receiving.. the player behind the receiver stands by one of 4 cones that are level with one of the mannequins, whichever cone they are by, the midfielder turns in that direction and if the player stays central, the midfielder opens up body (side on) rather than having a more directional first touch.

could have added opposite movement. the receiving players should have timed there runs better as well.. should be reviewing the ball while making the movement towards the ball..the ball should never be collected while stopped..

Coach… I am embarrassed to say that I steal your practices on a continual basis. I’m sorry,..but you’re good! With that being said, I need a way to teach my U12 team to learn to check in to receive the ball. Any good drills for that?

I don’t agree with him on the first comment on 65% In The box then passing to defense is a better option
Teams like Barcelona and man city focus everything on possession and if they took chances all the time the way he was describing it I doubt they would have the same possession stats they want. They will keep passing it with their defense till they feel comfortable moving up.
The way he is sounding reminds me of a team that plays counter attack soccer and always looking to make a couple passes then one nice pass for a goal.
He is making up his own rules, those comments in beginning not every coach will agree because many coaches rather have a extremely simple minded player. To many players try to much and are always looking for one killer pass, it’s the players that play extremely simple and In cooperate the whole team that’s the rare players

  • @hectordanielcappelletti7342

This is bad! Turning with a man behind? The only way you can apply this is you are playing against cones or flags. Imagine the players are struggling while turning, can you imagine against a defender. Movements completely unnatural.

He said is not about the ball you past to the left back so I’m guessing is possession is not what this Coach looks for smh , just run forward and send the ball that’s the key hahahahaha what a joke
