Wovey dying crushed me, my heart still hurts she was so young, she delivered her lines perfectly and she just was amazing. I was crying in the middle of the theater not because of her actual death but from her last words “can we go home now” that ended me I love this representation and am SO extremely thankful that this is just a movie.

The moment that crushed me was when Wovey took Lucy's hand as they entered the Arena. It really hit you that this was a child going to her death and she wanted to have some comfort from a friend in her last moments.

wovey’s death actually devastated me. wovey was the rue of this movie. such a sweet, innocent, young girl who deserved better. her last line was heart breaking. i had actually convinced myself that lucy would somehow sacrifice herself to let wovey live, because i couldn’t bear thinking that wovey might die. amazing character and amazing actress! wovey deserved so much better!!!

Wovey is my favorite character in the TBOSAS, and I absolutely burst into tears when little Wovey died, she was too precious and young!!! everyone in the theaters gasped when Wovey died, Sofia nailed the role as Wovey and I honestly loved her character so much, though.. I hope Wovey and Lucy had a longer and better bond like how Katniss and Rue had!

I'm from Russia. I have a daughter with Down syndrome. Thanks to stories like this, you believe that Diversity is the one thing we all have in common! Sofia smart girl. I hope that my daughter will become a symbol of hope for many families whose children have Down syndrome. Having Down syndrome is not scary.

You're from ruSSia? Perhaps first you need to stop waging a Genocide against Ukrainians including abducting Ukrainian children.

Absolutely love this! It is so important for Down Syndrome to be represented. Every single person you meet that has Down Syndrome is such a delight and Sofia is no exception! So inspiring!

She got that role because she was the best for that role. That is the only criteria an actor or actress must meet for me. I am happy for her.

She looked great in the movie. And it is great that she received the role because she was the best candidate. Not for some representation.

it can be both. If Holywood wasn't so damn discriminatory, people wouldn't have to create spaces for representation. But sadly, if the effort is not made, the only bodies that would be represented would still be white thin cis able bodies.

Have you heard about the movie "Peanut Butter Falcon" or TV series "Lifes Go ON"? Both main characters/actors had Down syndrome. They played in those production because they were best candidates. What kind of Orwelian phrase is "white this cis able bodies", sounds like an item from the grocery list. You realize you talk about people not about breed of dogs. Besides it is the acting, I want (and 99.9% of people) want to see simply good actors, portraying interesting stories. If you want equal representation open the pack of Skittles or other M&Ms.
