    Follow the steps below to increase volume on iPhone:
    1. Open the settings on your iPhone.
    2. Once in the settings scroll down and select Music.
    3. Find and turn off Sound Check.
    4. Select EQ.
    5. Go through and select an EQ that fits your environment and needs. I have found that Latin, Spoken Word, and Late Night are the loudest.
    6. If your iPhone still isn't loud enough, try putting your iPhone in a bowl.

    WARNING: Using EQ Late Night, you notice that the audio breaks before continuing for a moment. This break in sound means that the audio compression is turned on. Late Night gives louder sound at the cost of audio quality

    Does the EQ affect every single app you use or only Apple Music? Thanks

    There’s no “decibel level” control under headphone safety on my iPhone 11. Only a seemingly pointless “last 6 months” bar graph, “lightning adapters”, & “reduce loud sounds” which is the LAST thing I need to do.

    When I open settings I see Health, however Music is not listed. Any other suggestions? It has been fine for three months and just started a very soft volume while I am watching CZcams videos. I have turned up the volume to the maximum using the side button already. I am stumped.

    The thing I like to do, is similar to your bowl trick. When I hold my iPhone, I put all of my fingers behind the phone and use my palm as a re-direction of the sound back to myself. Same idea though.

    • @GaugingGadgets
      @GaugingGadgets  Před 2 lety +1

      That's a great technique!

    • @deborahjeanne2141
      @deborahjeanne2141 Před 2 lety +1

      I noticed that too. If I hold my iPhone or iPad with my fingers and palm somewhat “cupping” it, the sound is better. It’s not really good for music, you really need ear buds, but if you’re looking at videos and just need sound, it does help. But nothing helped better than turning off the suggested settings and changing the EQ.

      @@GaugingGadgets thanks! Got the idea from an iPad case I was looking at once, where the case stick out a little bit past the speakers, and directed the sound back at you, instead of sending it out the side. Just used the science while holding my phone. 👍

      There should be two buttons on one side of your iPhone. Press the one closer to the top of your iPhone to turn up the volume.

    😘 You are so awesome! I couldn’t understand why my music was so soft on my phone, even with head phones, and the volume turned up 100%.
    I turned off the sound check, changed the EQ from rock to the spoken word, which surprisingly, is louder than rock. The sound from my iPad is 500% better than the iPhone, but the iPhone is 100% better than what it was. Now I have to look at iPad settings and see what, if anything, is different.
    The tips you give that apply to me have all been golden. Thank you for taking the time to put up these videos that help people like me get more from their computer/phone/iPad. Apple doesn’t provide instruction manuals, and it’s not always easy to find what you’re looking for in their FAQs. Thanks again.
    Edit: I went back into settings and turned off “reduce loud sounds”. Now it’s freakin awesome. I love you! ❤️

    Your suggestion is actually pointless. If the sound is already on "Latin" (for example) you suggest putting the phone in a bowl?! What if you are already using headphones or outdoors in a noisy environment? Do you seriously suggest we carry a ceramic bowl when walking the city streets? No, your suggestion should be "but an Android phone"

    • @carolgb9052
      @carolgb9052 Před rokem +3

      Um, the suggestion was spot on. As someone who is hearing impaired, the bowl method can boost the volume significantly when headphones or an external Bluetooth speaker aren’t available. He never said carry a bowl around. 🙄
