I imagine that in the actual canon John would have killed more like 8 of his men ,same as most missions in the story .Killing a whole army of fodder is more for gameplay purposes but story wise I imagine it to be less intense .
This is how i view most violent fiction. I also use the military stats that say that about a third to a quarter of all the losses are actual deaths and most are just hurt or majorly disabled by Arthur's shooting them (obviously not the ones with their heads blown clean off).

Now that you know this, it's going to change combat entirely. Hipfiring revolvers makes them so deadly up close
In real life, after you fire once, you don't release the trigger. You keep it pressed and slam the hammer back and down in a smooth motion
