in this video, i try out bandlab vocal mixing! bandlab is a mobile app that is on IOS and Android. you can make some pretty chill music with bandlab! in this video i try to make some chill indie pop / bedroom pop. i use the app to mix my vocals. i also use it to record vocals. i make the vocals sound professional in bandlab mobile. like jeremy zucker, clairo, lauv, lany, etc. i started out producing music on garageband. i even tried out garageband mobile in a previous video. this was the third time using the mobile app Bandlab tho. i usually make pop music so that's what i did in this video. i think this song came out well for my first fully produced song on bandlab! ✧ ☆

Thanks for the surprisingly great tutorial and vibes friend. Keep it up! You have earned yourself a happy sub to the channel.

Nothing better that a straight up tutor that learned it the hard way. That's what it takes
that's a really awesome tutorial, helps me loads with the post rodction step, understanding the effects of compression, EQ, panning etc.. on the various vocals. I'll definitely come back to it next time I record vocals! Thank you!
thanks for the comment! happy to help 🙏🏻

I really appreciate this so much, like thank you. Ive been struggling to understand not only how to use the effects but the vocabulary as well, and this really simplified it for me.

Hey bro this video really helped me man and I genuinely appreciate the reminder to stay creative and understand everybody is going off their own sound and what they like so there is no necessarily right or wrong…very wise and shows you have totally understood life’s lessons !!! I wish you all the success you want in life man! You deserve it and again thank you for the help!
Hey, this is excellent. I’ve been recording for years in Logic Pro and wanted a run through of how to use bandlab on my phone. Not only is this clear and informative, but you have a great way of breaking down bigger concepts, like compression, and making it easy enough to use well with just the basics. Good on you. Great content…. Keep it up 🎶
so glad the video was helpful 💪

Yeah, I love the way you teach, slow and steady so one can catch up, thanks for teaching me to know how to operate Bandlab studio, (one love) ❤💛💚
I've looked at idk how many streamers or how many vidoes and your the only one who actually helped and I understood now please make a video showing us what everything pretty much does
Amazing editing bro 🖤 I love ur sound, really unique
thx so so much fam 🙏🏻
I used another clean vocals guide but it used mostly the same effects. I felt like my song sounded so flat and amateur after, though, even with tweaking values. Now I know that what it probably needs is a tiny bit of reverb. I should also straight up pan my ad lib tracks where they overlap and decrease their highs (I used tremolo effects before and it was super annoying). My impatient butt almost clicked out of this video. I’m so glad I made myself watch to the end. Thanks!
Dealing with the same thing 😭
uuughhh there's sooo much too learn..!! thank you so much for the video, definitely helped. i have 2 full songs on bandlab so far, the mixing part has been has been putting me on my face

So I can take care of recording my vocals and everything thru my phone still, but once that's taken care of I should pretty much touch up nd finish everything else via laptop?
I'm asking only cus I'm stuck w my mobile headphones/mic for now, and the mic can't be used to record on a laptop.
@@biggirih7225 This is what I do, I record on my iPhone because it’s handier for me. Then I go mix it down on my laptop. Bamm!

This is a great tutorial on mixing in band lab but I have questions! Is there a specific reason why I need to fade the beginning and the ending of my audio?
thanks so much!
and great question Jing. the reason you want to fade the audio in and out is to make your vocal recordings sound smoother in the song.
if your vocal recording has a lot of noise in it, and it's not faded in, the listener will easily be able to hear all of the harsh cuts whenever your vocal audio starts.
with the fading in and out, the listener won't be able to hear the harsh cuts, and will only hear the vocals when you are actually singing.
i hope this helps explains it!
@@xole Well explained! Thank you so much, man! Hope you make more videos like this cuz im suck at mixing my audios for my song covers 😂😂 Wanna be the next big singer, ya know? 🙈 Anyway, thanks again for this wonderful video! Keep it coming! Always support yaa! :D

I was hesitant to watch this for some reason, and I'm so glad I decided to go against it. Making music got me overwhelmed 'cause I have no idea where to start and if there are rules to follow or instruments to learn. I don't have any musical background. I just love to sing and I'm really looking for a way to improve. I feel like I've been given a chance to actually give Music a try despite feeling like I'm getting too old for this.
