Lifelong Depeche Mode fan. This was actually a B Side track along with "Sea of Sin" if Im not mistaken.
This absolutely captured the original feel, vibe, essence. The imagery completely understood the assignment as well.
I really feel that Depeche Mode isnt appreciated by the masses but artists understand. They have influenced countless bands.
There is a vulnerability in their writing, but with a kind of inverted hopelessness that I think encompasses a lot of the human experience

There is no female vocal in this song. The high part of the chorus is performed by the same vocalist singing the lead. Being a DM fan, I am sure you know how Martin sings the higher register parts over Dave. Same principle here, but utilizing only one singer.
