I never pre-clip. A lot of my cats do not have patience for two haircuts and this cat in our video is pretty regular and used to coming in for grooming.
It could be a little bit of both. There are many reasons to cut feline hair. my goal is to teach professional groomers how to do it safely because sometimes we have to do it.
