Oh man I played this game mode on this map so much with friends. It was just so great to go around in a warthog with friends, one guy driving, another on the turret, and another in the passenger seat, just doing drive-by's on the enemy team until you eventually got taken out by a rocket or just bad driving.
God I miss this game.
I'm *so* nostalgic for this game, you have no idea. Think I'll get a bunch of friends together and do some split-screen rounds like used to do: Halo 3, with shameless amounts of pizza/poutine & beer!

damn it i miss halo 3 splitscreen with my friend. We would always reference "The Elephant Wars" in this shell-shocked voice xD We had this one day where me and him just destroyed another team after our elephants clashed head-to-head. He ran out to deal with them and wound up beneath two rising elephants, with the text "Hold [reload button] to flip... wait, what? How did you do that?" and enemies flooding in around him. He killed 2 or 3 and retreated beneath the pyramid, and I got out to kill the others. They were the best of times, they were the worst of times
It was funny that guy at on his team at 2:00 tried to kill him for the sniper and ends up getting killed KARMA

Campaign - Halo 3 (Although thats a close one but eventually you get to the level with the Scarabs that dwarfs every other level in the whole series) ..
Carrying on
Multiplayer - Halo 3 (Not just better than Halo 2 but probably the best of all time) literally no other game had better online matchmaking..
Characters - Tbh thats a tie..
I could go on there is much more shit but the primary thing is the weapons Halo 2 had those trash ass dual SMGs that sounded like shit! Then they downgraded needler smh..
Obviously the battle rifle was dope but again it was way better in 3. Im not even gonna go into the expansion like the maps in Halo 3 cuz they dont compare at all...even the random mini games like Griff Ball were fun asf.
With all that being said im curious what about Halo 2 is better than Halo 3 to you?

+Kyle Mayfield on MCC all armor is unlocked by default for all players. I personally prefer default armor. The flaming helmets makes them easy targets to spot lol

I just knew the only instances back then for the flaming head were Employees, the one Bungie day that it was unlocked for everyone for 24 hours oooor someone using a JTag to mod online gameplay. And yeah I hear ya, I'd always just wear the default armor. That's what all the "cool people" did haha.

Big team battle is easily the best multiplayer gametype. Loved the action and chaos on big maps. Almost makes me want to buy a cheap 360 to play Halo 3 and Reach again.

+Shiny Glaceon I still play MCC weekly so its definitely not abandoned or broken for me. I think some people worry so much about what others say or assume population is dead so they just say "game is dead'. I hear this a lot with other games too. I'll always keep playing what I love as long as its able to be played (if it requires internet/servers for example).

Remember watching the developers cover the game? I mean at least 10 times a month. When this game came out, it's just a time I will never forget. It was better than becoming 21 and buying my first beer. It was better than getting my driver's licence. Man, Halo was my child hood. It brought me and my old buddies together in a way that nothing else could, not even alcohol. Down with 343 and Destiny. We need Bungie and Halo again.
In all fairness Bungie is not the same company they used to be. Almost none of those who made Halo exist in that company anymore. As for 343 they are the ones that brought Master Chief Collection to life and the game is getting more updates in the coming months. So if anyone is keeping classic Halo alive in 2018 it is 343.
I watch Halo 3 game play and seriously tear up at how much the game has changed. Maybe how my life has changed.
The one complaint I have about this game. The battle rifle for Halo 3 just didn't feel like it had weight behind it.

I don't know how many days worth on the xbox 360 I logged in this game but it was a rather insane amount indeed according to waypoint.com stats. Just glad it is on xbox one now so I can continue my work lol

What sucks is that u got locked out of BTB if u didnt have all the map packs... I bought ODST then sold it cause i didnt like it and had to buy all the packs then for some reason i still couldnt play sometimes because of random "missing content" notifications... BS.
then halo reach BTB got completely wrecked when they added custom maps to it so i couldnt play on the actually good ones like "blood gulch" and forge world island. Forced into solely team slayer (which is fun, but only for a while) this why i quit halo online.
