  • Welcome to the Ghosts of International Airports (Please note some images are for illustration only)
Fasten your seatbelts and grab your passport!
This video focuses on some the hauntings in a number of international airports around the world. Today we look at hauntings at Heathrow in London, where three apparitions are said to lurk, Dallas Fort Worth in sunny Texas, Tenerife in the Canary islands, where tragic figures seem to appear and finally Kuala Lumpur, where mischievous spirits seem to cause all sorts of interference.
At the end of the video, I explain that there will be an aviation ‘Archive’ video of various bits and pieces; some are airline memorabilia, I have letters, postcards and all sorts of things to share with you. This will be a separate video and it will be uploaded shortly after this video. There will be a new playlist called ‘Archive’ and you’ll find it there.
Some of the stories focus on historic events and I hope you feel that my video covers the sad side of history in a respectful and honest way, without the need for sensationalising the past.
As always, I hope you enjoy these tales from around the world. Feel free to leave a comment. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. They mean so much to me.
Please feel free to Like and Subscribe to the channel.
Your support is always appreciated. Feel free to buy me a cup of tea using the Ko-fi link below. Your generosity helps to keep the channel producing new content and encourages the channel to expand and allows me to add items to the archive. I have my own ghostly encounter from Heathrow (terminal 2 or 3 can’t remember) to tell you about here. I was washing my hands in the restroom, when I felt like I can only describe a child’s hand poking me in my hips and tugging at my shirt, I turned around and nobody was there…. This happened in December 2022.

Hearing stories about children ghosts always used to scare me. But now that I'm a father myself. The thought of a lost little boy sobbing his heart out, unaware that he's dead, absolutely terrified, breaks my heart. If I was there at Heathrow. I would just want to help him.

Same for me. We lost our adult son to Homicide over five years ago and the thought of him being lost between worlds is gut wrenching enough but the thought of a small child in the same situation is just unthinkable.

Very interesting video this one. Sometimes death comes so unexpectedly, so suddenly, that the deceased don't understand they're dead. They can't move on, they don't know how, they missed the light that showed them the way. Time has no meaning & they just wander aimlessly on this plane for years & decades, looking for help to move on. It really is a sad situation.

@@ghostcasebook1266 I was so lost in thought on this, I completely forgot my manners! Thank you so much for your time in compiling this very interesting video, my apologies for not saying it before. I'm sure that you've experienced a " Blinding Flash of Clarity " yourself at times, it goes with the Territory doing what you do. The most dangerous time on an aircraft the experts say, is Take off & Landing, it accounts for 63.5% of all accidents causing fatalities according to NTSB. Imagine the powerful energy an 'Accident' like the Tenerife event caused, so many people lost their lives so instantly, the shock was so great that some have remained tethered to that spot, ever since.
I remember watching a story on Air Crash Investigation several years ago, a Plane crashed after taking off in Florida, it came down in a swamp, part of the Everglades I think. No one Survived & it was Salvaged by the NTSB Investigators & staff from the Airline's Maintenance Crew. Many months later, when the Investigations were finished, many of the Parts & Fittings, were released to the Airline & they were used in other Aircraft. There were reports of strange occurrences, apparitions & things going missing on those Aircraft. The unsettling part was many Pilots & Flight Attendants, reported not only seeing wet & dishevelled people in what should've been empty seats, but also seeing the Pilots & Flight Attendants, who they recognised as those killed in that Accident. In one case, a salvaged Microwave kept turning on, the door would open & close, it would run for several minutes, then the door would open & close again. One of the Flight Attendants (Killed in the Accident) would leave the Galley carrying a tray, then would disappear, fading away. The Airline put Security people on the flights to verify the reports. Several of them confirmed what the Air Crew were reporting. The Airline removed all the salvaged items & there were no more unexplained Phenomena. A Medium & Psychic was called in & he said that the instantaneous nature of the Deaths & the sheer number all dying at once, had caused the Shades of some victims to "latch on" to some inanimate objects. Those people had not realised they were dead & in their fear & confusion, had clung to familiar objects. They were now trapped, unable to move on to another Plane & destined to relive their final minutes, over & over again.

Glad KL was finally mentioned although I can tell you of a particular incident around 2009. Our party was a touring band that had just performed at the Jakarta jazz festival. We had an overnight layover at the airside hotel in KL International Airport. I was awoken several times at night by a lady crying right in my ear. At first, I thought one of the band members was playing a trick on me but when I turned on the lights there was no one there. One of our members actually fared way worse. He was pushed out of his bed several times during the night by a laughing child. Of course, when the lights went on , there was no child to be found. He was so spooked that he decided to sleep in reception. As he opened his door to leave he found blood all over the hand that had opened the door. We found him absolutely petrified the following day in reception. We recounted the stories to each other. On the flight we got talking to a flight attendant and recounted our encounter to her. She gave us a knowing smile but made no comment when we asked her if she'd heard of any such encounters before. At first, I just put it all down to being tired and the hotel being rather airless. But that crying was so vivid and I would know it anywhere if I heard it again.

My mum used to date a carpenter. He was an immensely physical and strong man. He told a story of staying in a hotel room prior to a flight from the UK when he felt his bed covers slip off him. Well, naturally that was the only possible rational explanation so he reached down and pulled it back up over him. Not to long after it happened again. So he pulled it back over him. A second or so later, now more Lucid and acutely weary he felt it slowly being pulled away from him. He gripped it tightly with all his strength and it was yanked from him with ease. I can't remember what happened after that but that always stayed with me and shit me up. I can't stay anywhere now and not have sleepless nights even with the room light on. I mean what the Hell was in his room and that had more strength than he did?

A variation of the story of the ghost that haunts 27 left goes back to the old Croydon aerodrome. In those days, the main runway crossed the old main road to Croydon. When an aeroplane was taking off or landing, barriers were placed across the road to stop cars and people crossing, until the aircraft movement was completed. On the particular occasion a gentleman wearing a black suit and hat also curiously with a brief case, tried to beat the out going aircraft by dodging under the barrier but failed, and was struck by the aircraft killing him instantly. It is said to be his ghost that is seen on 27 left, as that also crosses the site of the Old Croydon Road.

Such an interesting video! Great script writing and very nicely voiced! I also like how you included the history of the airport too! Being interested in aviation and paranormal activity made me click on this video immediately. We are so blinded by the isolation of ghosts in movies that we forget they can be anywhere, even in a busy place like an airport!
I have never left my country, so the only airports I've been to were the domestic parts of Sydney and the Gold Coast. With my very limited time within airports however, I do have one story that happened in the Sydney airport. My dad, grandad and I went to a section of the airport to sort out something. The airport was completely empty. As we were walking towards a flight of stairs, I saw a tall and thin, blonde woman. She was probably in her late 40s and wearing what looked like a flight attendant dress with a dark blue blazer over it. She was walking very slowly away from us. Her footsteps didn't make a sound. As we got to the top of the stairs, she was gone. Later on when we reached some office, she was standing a long distance away from the door. She stood motionlessly with her arms loosely crossed, staring at us. I was the last to walk into the office and just before I did, the woman seemingly disappeared into thin air.

The entire world is haunted, basically. They're all around us. Our visible plane is just one slice of the big cake called universe. It has gazillions of it, thin and multilayered. In some places, they intersect and we end up with "visions" of ghosts. Also places with a high energy rate caused by lots of deaths or very violent ones or a combination of both (like battlefields etc) are like doorways and it's often easy for the sensitive to feel or even see them. While we live our daily lives, we also leave energy tracks, and that residual energy can likewise be felt by others, dead or alive. Intense emotions can also trigger a release of energy from the other side, because the vibrations are in sync with each other. It's all a very amazing system. Not scary at all.

Hi there I recently found your channel by accident. I hold a deep interest in the paranormal and have done for many years. I'm slowly working my way through your videos. I'm not sure if you're aware of this story regarding Heathrow, when I was a teenager I was reading a book on ghost stories one of which was about Heathrow. Many times, particularly late night or in foggy conditions pilots, ground staff and even police have reported seeing a figure on the runways. Descriptions are that of a figure in a Tri corn hatand a cloak. I read in the book at the time that people believed it to be the possible ghost of Dick Turpin as apparently it was one area he frequented. Keep the stories coming I've subbed to your channel.

Thank you this was fascinating. I'd very much like to see another video of other airport hauntings. Looking forward to that. I clicked on this because I live close to DFW airport. I've never thought about airports being haunted but I guess anywhere there's been a loss of life it's always possible. When you think about the sheer volume of people that go through these places it only makes sense that they'd be haunted. The story of the little boy crying and being distraught really bothered me. The thought of him being perpetually lost and looking for a loved one is heartbreaking. I've always been a healthy skeptic about the paranormal but I don't doubt it anymore. It's no longer a question of "if" ghosts exists it's more why are they there and how can they be helped.

Back in 1970 when I was a young boy my parents had a friend who was a serving police officer at Heathrow Airport. He told us a tale about being called with a colleague to escort off the runway the person picked up by the control tower. When they arrived at the scene a man was wandering about and he was asked what he was doing. The man replied he was looking for his briefcase. When they got out the patrol car to approach him he simply disappeared before their eyes. They weren’t shocked as they had heard about this ghost story before but it was the first time they came across him.

Those micro bursts are no joke, was coming home to DFW from NJ and got caught in a sudden one. That is another kind of terror to feel the plane drop verically. Even babbies and small children were too scared to scream. Wouldn't surprise me that one of the 3 original terminals has a haunting.

Maybe the transient nature of airports creates some sort of liminal condition which is said to be a favourable state for phenomena to occur. This is a very spooky episode thanks for this.
The crying children was exceptionally sad. Maybe these slices of time still exist in trillions of 'nows' completely negating past and future. The nows complete with trillions of millisecond experiences collide with our 'now' occasionally.

Fascinating and entertaining, thanks for sharing 🙂 I’m not sure what you mean by ‘runway 1’ at Heathrow though. The fact that apparently the aircraft nearly crashed into buildings on Bath Road suggests it was the north runway, now 27R/09L.

Hi Jaws Denver International has a whole load of conspiracy theories linked to it. Some say there are enormous tunnels underneath it, some say it was built for the New World Order to take over. Some believe the sculpture of a blue mustang (nicknamed Blucifer) is haunted or cursed as the sculptor died when a big chunk of the horse fell on him and severed an artery in his legs! I was in Dublin Airport toilets before a flight about 15 years ago when a lady said something. I thought maybe she was asking for toilet roll or something and I said "sorry"? It went quiet and then she said oh sorry I was just talking to myself I said oh don't worry we all do it then she was like yeah I suppose. I literally came out of the cubicle seconds later but there was nobody there. She couldn't have left without me hearing the door very odd.

Singapore has Kallang Airport in the 50s and in 1956 a BOAC Lockheed Constellation crashed at landing and burnt alive all on board . Even before I came to know of this tragedy, I always had a very melancholy, sad and eerie feeling whenever I pass by the former crash site. Till today, the airport has been preserved as a heritage site, quite empty buildings left as a visual historical sight with no public access given.
