Russian alphabet was always before greeks copts and others. Named glagolitsa. You talking about only kirillitsa. We have our own national calendar. Which every old grandmother knows. And which today they are trying to denigrate and recognize as an invention. According to that calendar (from Russian: knee gift - колен дарЪ. The knee is the ancestors. The seventh generation, in the third generation. The root is one from the word knee. According to our calendar, today Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, even Serbs have been living to some extent for 7532 years since the creation of the world. And we also use such letters and sounds: Ґ, ГI, ЪІ, ŷ. Which are not even included in the alphabet, but they pronounce them. Sorry for my english

This is actually the best youtube video for the Russian alphabet. Many others have tried - and some of them valiantly. But they all either go off into the weeds or go off the rails or otherwise just make things things more difficult than they need to be. The one thing that would make this even better would be to have the names of the letters spelled out in Cyrillic (like мягкий знак instead of, or in addition to, the romanization: MYAG-kiy-znak).
