What was originally a quick rest stop at Hann River Roadhouse quickly became a hot little Barra Session as Station owner Rob shows us around a few of his favorite spots to have a cast, and the barra are more than happy to oblige! Nice vid Sammy! Reminds me of my youth walking the banks fishing for largemouth bass. We kept an eye out for gators but they're like kittens compared your crocs.

Walking and casting the fresh waters at Cape York is exhilarating fishing on a bad day. Such a good session I suspect this will be first of many future trips….

Brilliant episode Sammy and mob. Reminded me of my youth up near Cairns. Have you considered swapping the treble hooks out for single inline hooks? Similar hook up success, better lure action, less snags, easier on you and the fish.

For a saltwater fisherman, fishing mostly from the boat, i must say your casting skills is on point! I can't remember the number of lures i've lost chasing trouts in my local rivers and streams..

100% mate. 1 trip to the waters edge there, particularly with a fish kicking around, may very well be your last. If I had my time again and now that I know what it’s like I’ll take a long handled landing net.

BTW I def would be using a spinning outfit rather than a baitcaster in those tight tree lined conditions…..but thats just me it lets you get in much more controlled casts in my opinion. Anyway great vid once again! Those barros remind me of our freshwater large mouth bass here in the US which are legendary! Easily the most sought after trophy fish in the US as freshwater goes. Rock on mate!🤘🤘
That’s why I took both, I like baitcasters for working lures and accuracy, but spin is easier in the tight stuff 👌👌

I know me personally its a lot easier to use spinning gear rather than baitcasting in tight heavy cover areas. But yea you did change over. Love these remote locations far away from the masses. Sammy you should show all the Australian snakes yall encounter along the way of all these journeys. I know out in the bush in all these extreme locations there has to be plenty of encounters with snakes and other local wildlife. That would be great footage to complement the fishing. Just saying a lot of us Westerners in the US and others would love to see that kind of footage just as much as the fishing! Think about it mate. You can thank me later when your numbers go through the roof!😎❤

We have a lot of US fishing channels that are very popular bc they show all the wildlife they encounter on all their fishing expeditions. Just thought that might be something you could include in your vids too. People love that shit! Trust me it can boost your #’s like crazy! Try it and see. hello my friend i really like the trolling and jigging sessions much more than the lakes and other stuff. i would like to ask u 2 questions my friend i start trolling cause of ur videos and i figuree out that is better at summer months for that technique from ur videos. i want to ask u about how much far did u let the lures and about how many knots u cruising the lures ? thanx and much love and big hello from greece!! btw i had some bites but i didnt catch the fish it was about 100m away of boat and the speed was like 6.5 to 7 knots. i d love ur advice !My english are bad but i ll apreciate ur answer!
