This movie gives basic information about the breed, nova scotia duck tolling retriever. We also added in the "leave it" challenge where we left the house with food on the table. There is also a segment showing what the "toller scream" is. Enjoy and please subscribe!
Aww, they’re so cute!😍
I saved my Nova from a humane society.ahe is by far the best friend I could ever have and is now my service dog.I trained h.to get help if I need it and he can open doors.
This is my dream dog. I just want a moderate size male one and call it Vulpes.
A really amazing and friendly family dog.
Yes they are!
How does their tolling actually work,? I read that Tollers are named for their ability to entice or lure waterfowl within gunshot range, called "tolling". The hunter stays hidden in a blind and sends the dog out to romp and play near the water, usually by tossing a ball or stick to be retrieved. The dog's appearance is similar to that of a fox. Its unusual activity and white markings pique the curiosity of ducks and geese, which swim over to investigate.
Given that waterfowl are preyed upon by wild canines , why would they want to swim closer to investigate one? Wouldn't that be contrary to their own survival ?
The reason this happens is that the waterfowl would rather keep eyes on the predator and alert the flock instead of turning their back and potentially being surprised. If they keep it in eyesight then they can react in time and take flight if the canine makes any moves they don't like.
I really want to get myself such a dog, but too expensive in my country(
I have a toller
Love my 2 yr old newly adopted toller “Penny” and I’m looking into pet insurance. Do you have any suggestions or input on best insurance (or important things to cover) for this breed?
you legit feed your dogs on tables and you give them a "fail" for eating off a table .... wrong, beautiful dogs though.
haha you have a very good point my friend
