Laksa that she cook is from Malaysia or Indonesia, usually Penang or Malacca. Singaporean Curry Laksa is actually similar to Penang's curry mee. In Singapore the "Laksa" she cooked is actually called Penang Laksa. If you don't know where the dish is from, you can say "oh it's some Asian dish" not some random country or the only Asian country you know, it's quite insulting. It's like saying "oh you know, Apple the British company". It does not make sense.
