@@Pi0trekPL I have a great memory of the Bedford Park Cafe in your video. In the early 80’s I obtained planning permission, Listed Building Permission and Building Regulations approval to double its size and convert it to a Public House with an on site brewery. I even got permission for a new service road to it from the corner of the park near the cemetery. But, very unfortunately, the proposal failed to obtain a license to sell alcohol so it never went ahead :( It surely would have had the biggest beer garden in the country! I was working for Steve Sussams, the then owner of “Fives Bar” under the 60’s hotel near the Town Bridge. He also nearly went ahead with the redevelopment of Newnham Swimming Pool, where the multi cinemas were built, but I ended up being employed by Angie Russo to propose a sports redevelopment scheme for that. Sadly he was not successful it its purchase :( But I did complete several other very successful recreational developments for Angie through the 80’s and 90’s such as The Executive Club (snooker), St James (snooker & tenpin bowling), a snooker hall in Luton, and some restaurants too :) He was my numero uno Client for many years :)

I met so many great foreign nationals in and around Bedford :) I also worked with many at London Brick Company in the 70’s :) Might have been your relations? :)
