Visited in 2008. Still remember how crowded it was right from Marhi till Rohtang. That was an experience. Now its very serene & calming... Very beautiful pass.

Beautiful route, professionally done video, and lucid narration.
I have visited Khardung la and Chang la in Ladakh. Both are at more than 4000 feet higher altitude. But Rohtang la at 13000 feet altitude seems more formidable, with highly volatile weather. Many thanks for sharing such a nice experience.

You're wrong. I have toured Ladakh last month and visited these places. They're much higher--
Chhalg La = 17830 ft.
Kahardung La = 18530 ft.
Tanglag la = 17830 ft. (on way back from Leh to Manali this is first paas you cross. Climb starts from Upashi)
Baralata La = 15800 ft. (This is also on same route and comes after Pang and before Sarchu)
Leh = 11400 ft. The city itself is at this much high altitude.
Amarnath Cave = 14300 ft.

Rohtang pass jana allow hai kehte koi permit lena padta.. Esa kuch hai kya
