As someone who is a fan of Dangerous Danny Davis, Dave and Earl Hebner, Nick Patrick, Charles Robinson, Bill Alfonso, all referees who became characters, I am a fan of Aubrey's and I hope she gets to have more interactions with various wrestlers.
No love for Tommy Young? He's the greatest ref of all time. That dude would dive across the ring to make a count, and he was always spot on with enforcing the rules... I'm not sure the refs of today even know the rules, lol.

I think this is very biased, but this might be my favourite, or at least one of my favourite, Sessions interviews. I’ve been to both LA/Inglewood shows, and this year’s show not only did Aubrey like one of my Tweets regarding that show, she told me “cool shirt” as she walked past me on the way from the ring to the back - I was ramp side. The shirt? One of hers. 😂 I did not know she was from NorCal! Curious if she’s from the 707/Sac/Bay. Anywho, amazing interview, Renee!

Aubrey is so badass. She is by far one best refs you get to have match watched by. She so quick in ring. Literaly see her always looking over the wrestlers for the squeeze when both do huge out ring bumps . But she definitely has cleared a mic or belt and etc when the match goes up on the ring ropes. And ofcause competitors haven't realised the landing area is littered thus accidents and injuries could happen. I will say this would love see her actualy wrestle be a grate story idea where say one or two competitors start dissing her refine. And she say we'll how bout I wrestle you. And ofcause she don't win but gives grate showing
I grew up in northern California, Rohnert park, I bet Aubrey knows where that is
i love refs that are characters. i love the heel refs. i love the "clean cut fair play" ref, i love it all. character refs are very common in mexico and its a norm, we love it.
I did not know that character refs were the norm in Mexico. I would be interested to learn about that. If you could think, just off the top of your head, of any matches that are good examples I could watch on here, I'd be grateful if you could let me know. Thanks!
@@Ceaseless_Watcher i think the best known one are Tirantes(literally means Suspenders because, well, he wears suspenders lol) and his son Tirantes Jr. They have worked as heel and face refs thru their career. But they know how to work a crowd and often get involved in a match. It is not uncommon for the refs to feud with other refs as well. Here is a short compilation I have found from AAA wrestling. I'm not really a fan personally. I think the refs and the commentators should always play things straight and present themselves as serious sports broadcasters and officials.

20:22 Yeah actually my family was the same way. My Dad was a pastor and he andd my Mom (a gospel singer btw) didn't like the whole blood and swearing part of wrestling. Plus at the time the Divas revolution was still another decade so the women were very sexualized so they didn't like that. Ironcially I was the first one in my family to get into wrestling (one of 8 fifth born) which is saying something since two of my older sibs lived through the Attitude era and never watched wrestling. Yeah so I was forbidden from watching wrestling then when I went to college a roommate was a wrestling fan and I ended up watching with him. Six years later and my parents even know I watch wrestling.

I think some of it is because she feels a bit forced for some with how much they tout her as a referee all the time. Other people have issues because they dislike AEW and that translates to it carrying over to her whether she’s fine or not.
But she does get focus on herself more than referees generally do.

They’re not supposed to be a participant in the match. Hence why it’s called pro wrestling and not pro refereeing. Aubrey is trash.

I enjoyed Aubrey's work in the beginning. She felt like the only ref with any actual authority... Then she got comfortable in her role, started acting like a human cartoon and now she's just as bad as the bald guy that refs all the Bucks matches.
Good lord Rick Knox is absolute garbage. He just lets EVERYTHING go, holding his hands on the air, doesn't even TRY to maintain order... There is no point for him even being there. Aiyiyi. Aubrey was AWESOME at first, then she started to just go the way of Knox. I hate it, man.

I'm sorry, as nice of a person she may be, she and Bryce are the 2 worst referees in wrestling. The key to being a good ref, is to NOT be noticed. Stay out of the wrestling talent's way and just call the match. We don't need a ref to be a character (the exception being Danny Davis) they are ther to help the match progress to a pin or DQ etc.

Their is times when the ref should be part of the show and times when they are just reffing and a background person you don’t notice.

There is no answer to your question because 'vegans' are not one person. As should have been pretty obvious to you from the 's' on the end denoting a plural. When billions of people do something they don't all do it for the same reason. Further, what's it to you? If I want to eat a sausage that didn't require death and suffering, how is the reason for that your business? Pay the abattoir their due, eat your corpses and mind your own business.
The people who design and market imitation meat products are just trying to add non vegans to their customer base.
To most vegans the impossible meat is kinda a novelty thing. It is nostalgic to some as well though.
Also, reached a point now where so many fast food places offer vegan stuff that anyone that doesn't kinda has to so they remain competitive.

well ive been to over a dozen AEW shows and only a fucking idiot would act like she doesnt have the crowd behind her considering she gets her name chanted ALL THE TIME at live events
That's not a fair comment. Nobody tunes in to watch the refs but, in AEW, you know some of the refs because they somehow became on-screen characters. Don't hate, because WWE refs are blank slates.
That's the thing, she always makes goofy ass faces to the point it's distracting. For me as a wrestling fan you shouldn't know the refs names all that well and before anyone goes "What about Earl Hebner?" Yeah don't even go with the most controversial moment in wrestling history.
