Genuinely I think both are detrimental. My body count is in the high teens which is way too high, at least in my eyes and I’m sure most people feel the same. I’m ashamed of it because I hate that I was so desperate to sleep around with anyone. My girlfriend was a virgin which is great. To me though I wish I hadn’t slept around because some people want to see other fall and obviously rumors spread which leads to trust issues. Having an already high body count going into a relationship count, even if it’s from years prior, IS detrimental because early into a relationship your body count will make your partner not fully trust you even subconsciously.

Both are worse. This question is only designed to alleviate men of shame that they want women to feel. If a man bases his value on sex and if he gets into a relationship where he only values her for the sex he receives he’s more likely to cheat. Imagine telling your wife who just gave birth she better start putting out before she’s ready and able-recovering from childbirth. Even if she’s sick or injured and can’t. Same for women.
