Firstly I can confirm bricks are the worst thing to pick up I use to work at a brick factory in a 20T forklift, was actually a bit of a challenge. Secondly that roof trick was fkn genius, unfortunately my current civil site is too big on safety to allow something like that to happen but great to know
Hey enjoyed your tips and tricks video I see you have hydraulic forks most telehandlers do not have them if you grease up standard forks they will jump about on rough terrain. I watched some of you videos and was interested to know do you use your feet when loading out on scaffolding and how are you at high level stacking and what controls do you favour on a telehandler duel or or joystick, I like dual controls and struggle with joystick if you have the time would it be possible to show a high level stack showing the use of controls and the landing of the pallet on the load out area on the scaffolding and retrieving the forks out of the pallet. I think this would be very helpful to new drivers who have passed there telehandler test.
Hello Carl sorry for my late response well they do slide back and forwards but that not affect anything because you not carry anything and when you carry something they don't slide anywhere because you didn't greased up another side so that stops for sliding. About the feet I do use sometimes when is soft ground or not level another thing when I can't drive close to the loading bay I do use feats as well it depends how heavy stuff I carry. I'm pretty confident for high-level stacking. When I start working with telehandler I was working with Merlo this machine had joystick and I was good on it and then my boss brought new machine JCB and it had duel I was so bad on it I was even using two hands to operate lol but after a while many practicing I got used to now I prefer duel. And of course I'll try to make video about it this high level retraction of the pallets was hardest thing for me to learn I'll try to make a simple as possible.
im in my mid 40s and thinking about going for this licence but ive just realised its been years since ive been on a site and even then all i did was move cement and tiles i would be lost moving things like trusses and knowing where other things goes and to whom bear in mind i know most people on a site have short tempers im doing my best not to talk myself out of this
Hiya mate ,passed my test back in September ,soon after I got long covid ,I went through terrible time at one point my family thought I wasn’t going to make it and I’m know about 60 percent better waiting for hospital next week to check my lungs out by the hospital why I’m getting out of breath by even going up stairs ...I was train up on jcb I totally forgot the sequence on how to start the Telehandler up and how you would enter the jcb code in ..I know you might find a bit daft any chance if you could do video on this pls if you can’t then could you explain it in text .i would much appreciate it . Thanks.
This is a great video, but I don't understand the part where you align the attachment carriage with the pack of bricks... Surely its easier to tilt fully forward so you can see the forks dipped down, line them up with the holes and then tilt back....?
Hello G sorry for my late reply yes this why it's easy to see where you put in forks. And when you put forks on top of bricks and the forks lined up back and front to the side of the bricks stack, so this way you will be sure you're not going to stab them, I hope that helps.
hello John well it's very hard with job at the moment if you are not experienced driver building sites don't want to take new driver's my suggestion would be find a job in the yard and I don't think so there is easy sites everywhere is busy and it will be hard sorry to disappoint you.
1 thing you don't do , is drive with the load with the boom extended.... lol HSE will see you do that , get ready for red card.. I'd love to see you do that when you go for you NVQ blue card , that would be instant fail and waste of 650 quid... Mate , please don't post techniques that can get people to tip Tele's and cause a horrific accident... Also you're driving on perfectly sound surface , what if someone tries to replicate this on the not so perfect gravel washed out and humpy ground , that driver will have an accident . Sorry but i condemn this sort of technique . If road is not wide enough to carry them width wise , then your SM must order Mobile crane to come to site !!!!
So your have automatic forks that you can adjust from the cab ! And your advise is to rub them on the floor ? Look to your right and the a big lever that's marked with AUX try moving that before giving shite advice
I'm guessing his on about normal forks not hydraulics forks been doing this 16 years now but yeah you grease left side to save you getting out the cab but I've not use normal fork attachment for a long is been all ways been hydraulic forks
