@@dns0095Soyeon does understanding her members vocal abilities, Miyeon has a lovely to voice, it just didn't fit tomboy or nxde, but in I do and Queencard she had alot of lines, plus, the members have said they get to pick their lines
Gotta say i respect both JYP and ITZY a lot here. Its some good teamwork.
Finally, It only took 4 years for it to happen. Now they wont sound like cats being strangled anymore.
THIS is why I trust SM entertainment when it comes to VOCALS! SM knows how to make their trainees sing with natural toned voices better!
I'd trust JYP with groups though than SM. I love RV and they are very talented but look at how they have been handled through the years.

@@Tips_Blackpink And that is why I said SM have the best vocals because they know how to make their trainees sing. Only problem is that same management who knows best how to train them sucks at giving them projects.
I never understood the obsession with singing in higher keys in Kpop. I noticed that a lot of Kpop singers strain their voices to reach higher notes and it just sounds shrill and unpleasant to my ears. Better to sing in a comfortable range, have support and bring in more melodies. Lower registers ftw!

He's good person he care about his groups
If he were a good person he wouldn't 1. debut underage, 2. Sexualise underage artists (tzuyu, Yuna, etc) 3. Wouldn't make them diet so horribly (the notorious recalling of itzy themselves that eventually they couldn't take not eating much food with their intensity of choreography and started to eat better. Let's not romantise cut throat business people.
In the documentary, JYP didn’t want them to sing higher notes, he just wanted the song to be sang the right way. The girls couldn’t do it without a lot of straining so he lowered it for less strain.
He did want them to sing higher notes but he relented and let them sing lower. He thought singing it "the right way" was higher, even if it causes strain. There is a prejudice to not let female idols song lower. I am glad he changed his mind and can hear the lower register sounds good.

It did seem unfair of him, but he genuinely adores these girls, yes they get frustrated but he does listen to them, and I think he'll do so more when producing songs in the future.
If they are going to sing songs with a higher key, they should be getting better vocal training from JYP to polish their vocal techniques and sing in a way that does not harm their voices.
Should be obvious since whenever they sing the notes live they’re like 😖

He’s been doing this for so long, look at Momo from Twice 😭 she’s so nasally now bc that was the only way she could sing high originally and now it has affected all of her range
@@angsilaw It also probs effect her voice too, her current voice color started on Yes or Yes era, while the other Twice song before that, Momo's old voice sounds nothing like her current voice

He wasn't their producer for most of their songs. "Bet on me" was the song that he wrote for Itzy so it's given that he produces it for them and wants to record it the way he wants. It's embarrassing to read a comment like yours without proper research. Also, take note that Itzy is from a different division so they basically have a different management and it's not jyp running everything. 😏 P.S. I'm not his fan but get your facts straight.

💯 Facts.. They just troll him and uses him as a punching bag for anything wrong that happens in the company when there are a bunch of executives running it and management in different divisions. He's just the easy-target because he isn't conventionally attractive which is messed up really.
I think I know what JYP said sing with emotion... Just singing with your own voice and personality.

I didn't watch this part and was really angry at him for not listening to his artists. It's good that he compromised. Their natural voices are 1000% better.
Am I right what I've heard that JYP just said Ya! to Ryujin and Yuna? He didn't called them by name except for Yeji, Lia, and Chaeryeong.

@@abigailblestbantayanhe doesn’t know them all personally no. But he has spoken to them and is familiar. jYPE is a large company with many many idols and he is a producer who works with them all. He’s not going to know them all that well but he tries to at-least meet them all and be professional . The only groups he is truly close with and knows well are Wonder girls and Twice. Because these groups are practically his children and he worked so very hard and personally on their success and songs. Jay YP doesn’t always get to work close with other groups but for some of their title tracks while with twice and wonder girls he almost always participated in nearly all of their songs and even helped choreograph many of their songs and freestyle dances. Most groups he gets to work closer with often do extremely well. And unfortunately he hasn’t been able to work that closely with Itzy to become anything more then familiar with them at a social distance kind of way😂

JayYP isn’t the CEO and he doesn’t make the final decision on the songs. He is given a job by the CEO to set the tones and sound of their songs and he has to get the sound the Actual CEO is looking for out there and profitable. If anyone is responsible for Itzys music being bad it’s actually Itzy itself. Music is only as good as the singer. Because their songs aren’t bad. I’ve heard CZcamsrs sing the songs better. It’s just their insanely lack of vocal talent that makes it hard to produce good songs

JYP is acting more dellusional than Itzy's fans. He knows they can not sing. And I'm not hating or being mean, they are not the only ones in kpop there are plenty of idols famous for their visual or personalities and it's alright. Whatever puta food on the table. But let's be realistic, Cheshire isnt that high and The only reason it sound so difficult for them is because it is. They clearly don't have the basic vocal training/technique nailed. We've seen other idols singing higher than that without looking like they are about to vomit like por Yeji. It's the company's reaponsibility to train them, they should be aware of their limitations and just stop giving them songs they were taught how to, especially JYP other than Wonder Girls and Nmixx none of their ggs are particularly vocally talented.

Nmixx is managed under the 2nd division of JYP, which probably explains why they have everyone in the group who can handle highnotes, the group can carry a note, yeah, but you REALLY brought up a good point when saying they have no basic vocal training whatsoever
Or maybe some people just. Have lower ranges or limited ranges? Like Lily from NMIXX said (or at least smth along these lines): Everyone has a different voice with different capabilities. I’m not even a Midzy, but I will defend singers of any range against rude comments like these.
