- I head down to Brasenose 2 at the linear fisheries complex to fish solid bags over bait to show how effective it can be on B2.
This session is absolutely insane !! i managed to go on and land 25 carp with a UK 40, 30 and loads of 20s double and singles.
during the session i have triple takes, double takes which is crazy.

I've just seen something I've got to ask you about,, it looked like your reels got tension to tight when the fish are running off. I set mine with the minimum I can get away from a tangle at the reel if it's violently taken. I'm starting to think it's a hook holding tactic if using a drop lead system maybe? 🤔
Probably not tight at all, but someone reassure me asap before it's my next mental episode 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 I keep the tension tight in B2 due to the savage bars and weed beds.
They will go straight into them.
so controlling the fish with the tension of my clutch is how I get around stopping them going into weed beds etc

What makes the decision for you to fish bags over bait instead of singles over bait? only on B2 or would you do it on the other lakes at the complex? if the bottoms clean would you fish a single on the bottom instead of bags? when would you consider a pop up presentation over bait? thanks for you help, i've got alot of days at my disposal next couple months and plan on fishing linear for 3/4 days every week and just want the most out of my trips.
So more me personally B2 is a very good solid bags water and I've always had big hits of fish on bags.
But I fish all the lakes on bags aswell but situation and bottom depending mate.
B1 is also very good for throwing bags at fish but again I've had good success on bags over bait.
I think fishing what you are confident in is important.
But I chop and change depending on how the session is going bud really.
Where do you cast the PVA bags, as Linear Fisheries has some of the weediest lakes I’ve ever fished. Do you look for clear spots or just chuck the bags out & hope? I never seem to get it right at Linear. 😕

But you can throw bags around and they should be presenting regardless.
But I believe taking time to find spots and giving them some bait works well

The large corn is very buoyant so I ten d to use the smaller ones so it sits critically balanced

The fox 25 submerge braid due to the bars and muscle beds on B2
How many spombs would you put out to start with and then how many would you put out to top up after catching a fish?
@@chrisfox5153 it's all on the fishing situation bud, time of year and lake stock etc.
I had fish in front of me that I could see straight away so i went with 10 spombs and then topped up with 4 after every fish.
The next day I did the same but the bites slowed down it was only when I topped up with 6 spombs did the bites start coming back.
I hope that makes sense.

Definitely is we managed to see one on the parker baits social and a few decent 30s too. Peg 8/9 are prime pegs

With the braid there was no requirement but if I do I use a fluro leader

Nice performance mate well done! But you forgot to mention the lake was closed when you fish there no one on the other pegs! Usually B1,B2 are almost full evrey day...and yea in that case when fish rest for a couple of days this is the result.
The lake was open bud
I had to wait 24 hrs to get in the swim as someone else was in there
