- Mashiul Chowdhury has a wonderful exhibition at West Chester's Church Street Gallery (up until April 28, 2017). He will be talking about his show on April 27th at 7 pm in the gallery.
I talked to him and his friends about his evolution as an artist. Two keys are his practice of figure drawing, and his keen appreciation of the layered wall surfaces in urban centers such as his childhood home of Dhaka Bangladesh.
Incredible volume of high quality work. I believe Mr. Chowdhury when he says that he sometimes spends months with a particular painting. Each one demonstrates great attention to "getting it right."
It is a real pleasure to see so much beautiful art.
Thank you so much, I enjoyed seeing Mashiul's work!
Great video! This story and art exhibition are so inspiring!
I love how the artist got inspired by the texture captured in his photographs and created texture on this painting. What a wonderful artist, art crowd, friends and film maker! I enjoyed seeing this very much! Congrats Mashiul!

This is a great video. I got some hugh insights for my own art as well as enjoying this mans wonderful art.
Thanks so much!
wonderful!
Very good excellent drawings and paintings. To pull the abstract mark making back into a more objective structure would be interesting.
Very vibrational and wonderfull paintings - and in many ways I think the Danish painter Oluf Høst
very nice body of work shown here!!
Very nice!
I thought academic figure drawing was and is about achieving form and shape by using line only as a starting off point not. But what do I know right?
I like the texture the effects and colors. Some of the paintings look unfinished.
Thank you for the heart..from my heart..
I am from south africa and i am new fan of Mashiul. Inspired by his paintings .
