- Wait for Download Activity -
đ Detects a file download initiated from any application and waits for the download to complete before any processing of the file is performed in the automation. Add the activity that starts the download inside this activity, specify the folder where the indicated application saves the downloaded file, and save the properties of the downloaded file to a FileInfo variable.

@11:48 that monitored folder is bit confusing (when i gave a different name for example "c:\users\xyz\abc" it is getting stuck) does this folder needs to be same that you mention in your browser setting download path? when i changed to the path to what is in my browser->settings-downloads-location then it worked
If the files are getting downloaded directly - Then it has to be the same folder - But while downloading if we are getting an option to use Save As - then we can use a different one as well
@@MukeshKala i had original setting in the browser to prompt user to pick location but then that brings the file dialog box which kiils the benefit of background downloading right. I guess we need to inform the users to disable the file dialog box in their browsers for unattended bot or write that extra logic
@@marcr2204 anyways for a automation the location of the file cannot be downloads ⊠either you have a write logic to save as to a different location or you have to write logic to move the file from downloads to the business location
@@MukeshKala Yeah. I think i would write the one line code of moving the file to another location better option than having the dialog popup and writing the code for it.

If you Watch the video on18:04 - You would see the activity provides the Full path of the Downloaded File , here i am printing the path - You can use the same in excel application scope / read text file activity.

Run the automation in debug mode and click on the locals panels , you should get the same screen⊠i am reachable at my mail address available in description

Put a delay of some time after the download is initiated , Something due to the file size or network latency the file may not get downloaded
