- Kevin Barker with Barker boatworks likes to fish and where he fishes it requires long runs. Kevin has just introduced a brand new Michael Peters designed 40 catamaran that tops out at a wopping 80 mph.
Kevin basically said that this boat is like a "time machine" that allows him to get to spots faster in rougher weather.
The 26 foot Barker was also on display at the 2021 St.Pete boat show. This walkthrough video shows us the Barker 40. The fit and finish on this fishing beast gives it a luxurious feel. In choppy waters we took this thing 80 MpH but the hull wanted more power! Game changer cat has just shook up the market!

Love the windlass setup, much nicer than just dumping your rode and chain down into a well! And $1.2M tricked out like that isn't out of line for that size CC Cat. The part _I_ really loved is that level of fit and finish with a 6 - 12 month build/lead time is amazing! Wonder if it could be done with an upper station, and maybe give up the sunpad/storage there in favor of a "cuddy cabin".

Barker won that one on a motion for summary judgment. Then he turned around a took deposits from customers and never built their boats. Instead he filed bankruptcy and didn't have to pay them back or make it right. He's a piece of work.
@@LSDaigle The company went through a restructuring not a Chapter 7 Liquidation(You obviously don't know the difference) EVERY customer was offered the opportunity to receive 100% credit for any deposit.
