I joined my friends, @gt6_olly and @ddm_historics along with Charlie, Chloe and Naomi, for a trip of a lifetime to Le Mans for Le Mans Classic 2022! We convoyed down in a Triumph GT6, Porsche 993 and my Dax Tojeiro AC Cobra replica. I filmed our exciting adventure from day 1 until things went very badly wrong..

Fun fact : I was working in the boxes at the end of the pitlane, where the drivers would come buy their gas, and my crew and I got to confiscate a few cars temporarily cause the drivers wouldn’t pay.
I was legally an immobilised Shelby Daytona Coupe owner for a few hours, amazing feeling that is!
What a shame to end that way, I was there and had a multimeter, spare coil, alternator…. If I’d have known!
Hopefully it’ll soon be fixed and I’ll see it at the Tweseldown.

Had the same thing happen to me at the 95 Le Mans in my Westfield. Cooked the battery, luckily we could bump the car most times, fantastic trip.
The classic looked great, love the cups.
Making memories that last a lifetime.

Hey at 16:45 that's not an kit car, that's an Hommell Barquette. An obscure French brand that's create really cool sports car.
I did the same trip, with the same drunken shenanigans (& lots, LOTS more) - back in 1986, in a 1976 Inca Yellow Triumph Spitfire (KAK 405P) - Great memories

Perfect timing whilst I'm at home with covid I caught there lol, in fact I'm in the background at 20:30 in a red TSSC top!
Unfortunately I caught covid at Glastonbury the weekend before which hit me hard at the classic so only saw about half of what I want to see, I’ll just have to go again next year.
The only way to do Le Mans is on the Portsmouth ferry, so good to have a ferry full of cars heading there
I had the same thing on my TR7 V8. Battery failed , bump started then replaced it but alternator diodes had bit the dust, no charging. I got as far as Chamonix though. English car enthusiast garage replaced the diodes whilst we went up mont blanc.
Adam I throughly enjoyed this video .You ,Chloe, the cobra and whatever stuff animal adventures are always a hit🤣. Maybe you should produce a book on all your adventures

Interesting trip, went for the 24 heures this year, going for the 24 heures and the classic next year.
That 83 Nissan ran in the American series, have had RAC full European cover since first trip in 1985, only needed it twice but worth its weight in gold.
It was great that the racing was live on CZcams, it's frightening to think I saw many of the cars when new, Mazda 787b, Silk cut jags etc, I'm sure the repair was simple and not too expensive.

Wow what an absolutely epic video thank you Adam for sharing your trip with us I suppose Chloe and Adam were both happy Adam because of the cars and Chloe because of the endless alcohol stands such a shame you didn’t catch the 787 that legends of Le Mans some of the most successful GT cars ever made like C6R Which made every other manufacturer quit because it was that good and equally as dominating MC12 But the absolute highlight for me was at 17:48 lol

My first time at Le Mans Classic this year, fantastic event. An MG did a very classic car thing by pulling up in the queue for the ferry and dropping all its fluids on the floor.😂😂

Bit late in watching, love classic endurance racers - honestly, the races they do at Magny -Cours and Spa are absolutely epic!
When going cross continent, always carry a small box with essentials, spare alternator, plugs, leads, fuses, (multimeter 😆) and toolkit.
We had a toolkit, but where do you end with the spare parts? Spare engine? Spare whole car?

Know the feeling … my alternator belt snapped when I was on the way to Petrol Hedonism Knebworth. We (me and my 18month old) waited for 9 hrs before getting recovered. 😞
