    Great finds! A quick tip(pun intended), put your back to the sun when filming a find, especially if the sun is giving you issues, like in the morning or evening. The camera’s sensor can get overwhelmed when the sun is shining right into it. Good luck and I’m off to check out some more of your vids!

      @finndog2759 Před 2 lety +1

      Lol. If he told you that, he wouldn't have a place to hunt anymore!!! Most of us surface hunters keep our locations to ourselves. Sad when you let 1 person know, who tells a friend that takes 3 friends, and then there's posted signs up because people are slobs and throw garbage all over the place. I seen it happen time and time again.
      Than you got the trespassers!! Which bring in the law dogs aka police. I have hunted fields, creeks, shore lines, ect. Go out and find your own and tell no one if you like to keep it to yourself to hunt. I seen where people have taken rakes to gravel bars and totally destroyed them.

    If I had to drill through a mammoth hide I'd want a fat drill but sharp and I have a question . Did the native people of that creek filter our boil the water before consumption ? And I think the same person made three of those . Great action like on your channel .

    I love the arrowheads ! But , I also love the fossils . I do both , we find all kinds of cool fossils here in Alabama . I found a Complete Crinoid a few years ago and spent many hours working the rock off of it . Showed it to a guy and offered me $$$ for it and I sold it . Always regretted it . It was beautiful about 5 1/2 inches long . Only thing I've ever sold .

    • @LostinTimeYT
      @LostinTimeYT  Před 2 lety +3

      The points anywhere from 1000 to 13,000 years old. The skulls, who knows, occasionally extinct bison species can be found and those can be quite old, but most of what I find is bison bison which could be anywhere from hundreds to a few thousand years old.

    TFS

    • @LostinTimeYT

      Yes, and also the placement in the jaw. I've seen mandibles with both molars intact and the rear one will be worn down flat while the front molar still has the crown relatively unworn.

      All I know personally is river hunting. I'd try to find a creek or river near you that has a gravel bottom and start looking. It just takes a lot of patience. Even at the best spots that I know you could easily hunt all day and come up empty handed. You just have to keep trying. You can use satellite imagery maps to find a creek with gravel bars, then figure out how to get permission and access and go exploring.
