Krag reload feels so nice, they way the fingers do work on them bullets ... so satisfying.

I love the Krag, its got an amazing ironsight, respectable damage and a fast reload.
SOLID. is the word i'd use.
I used to not like the Krag, because it’s lower damage. But after a few challenges during the last event that required the Krag, I soon found a new respect for it. Its muzzle velocity is awesome, its iron sights are good, has low recoil, good rate of fire for follow up shots and easy to top up. It is now a rifle I happily run with more often.

The krag FEELS really good, but damn do the number of times that I survive after getting 124'ed make it such a sad gun.
That 124 damage just isn’t high enough.

the low dmg that won't kill a once downed hunter is to compensate for its really high fire rate
Yea it's really killing it for me, even centy with dum dum can kill 125 hp
@@jimizify mosin has more ammo, does 12 more damage, 29+m of effective range. The cycle time difference of .5 seconds and being $114 cheaper isn’t enough for me to ever want to take the krag. To each their own.

i love the krag, it feels like a long ammo vetterli despite it being below 125 damage
the fire rate is excellent for playing aggressively and can make a difference in close range vs taking a mosin especially if you're running it with a sparks pistol for the ammo

The rework of the ammo system has killled the love i had for the krag a little bit ngl. Playing krag + dual spark pistol before the cahnges was soooo good
if you think about it hard enough, krag + sparks pistol is just reverse sparks uppercut.
anw, rip sparks uppercut. Game died from crytek's hubris in unwilling to admit their mistakes and quadruple down on unnecessary changes.
@@yumyum96969 Game ain't dead holmes. The change was generally a good one if you ask me. Ammo boxes are available from rank 1 and there are 5 supply points on the map, use em.

@@owl_uwu1297 respectfully, game died for me when creative loadouts were nerfed to the ground with ammo changes.
game was designed ground up for ammo stacking to be available to us when we needed it. bornheim match incen? viable with fair downsides! sparks uppercut? a very potent blend with very real close range risks. But avto? they couldn't even admit to an obv mistake. crytek just wouldn't walk back the avto and it brought down all other nice loadouts bc they just couldn't bother to play test and balance with sense.
long ammo wouldn't have been meta if med ammo wasn't so shit. They wanted to rebalance ammo? do it from the ground up. nerfing ammo pick up to 2 shots for long and shotguns is just disgusting and lazy. ntm they still don't have the balls to give krag the full ammo.
dualies? make them fire one by one like how cowboys actually used them instead of this lazy shit. having incomplete ammo just sucks.
@@yumyum96969 I'm sorry, but you likely aren't a game dev. You really cannot act as if you know for sure what they've done was wrong in this instance, especially when you're the minority of people I've talked to on this matter.
Creative loadouts have not by any means died, you don't suddenly lose the ability to run them because ammo *pickups* are now more limited. And I already mentioned ammo boxes. They give an absurd amount of ammo.
Medium ammo is also far from bad, it absolutely has it's place and has many amazing weapons such as Vetterli, Centennial, Trueshot, etc.
Really not sure what you're on about with dualies.
This conversation is going to be really difficult to properly have over yt comments. All I can say is try and think it over from different perspectives.
prob my fav update is merging perks, now i dont have to worry about running out of ammo and not being able to pick up someone elses gun and use it to its max capability, especialy bolt actions u actually un ads when u shoot, winfield kinda managable since it never un ads'd u, just kinda shuffle the gun sideways

If they are dead set on keeping the damage at 124 then it needs more ammo
The only downside of Krag is not being able to one shot hunters missing a small bar.
the funny think is that you gave them all the info they need to know about you because of voice but still no one can beat you XD
People dissing on the krag really don't understand just how impactful cycle time is for a weapons playstyle and performance. It's why Iron Eye is in my opinion, one of the best traits in the game.

This is hunt. You play a gun, you enjoy it. Then you see the meta. You try it. And you go back to the gun and say "Oh it's kinda good". Go back and repeat.

I always have shitty games when using the Krag for some reason, i got the Krag curse.
if by "balanced" you mean a rifle that is balanced in its capability to kill everything at every range - yeah, it is balanced in that regard. But no way its balanced in a sense of gameplay, that gun is waay too good. Tbh Im reaaally glad that most community still uses mosins, krag + ironeye feels like 2 mosin users shooting at you.

Krag sniper is only one worth playing, other "variants" suck, krag has 0 dmg so hs only
I think maybe its meant to be a reliable long range two tap weapon
Personally I feel like they should give the krag dum dums and have it be the only long ammo weapon with dum dums. I feel like this would be a great way to balance the one shot kill efficiency (on previously downed hunters) of the krag with the slower bullets and all. Or they could just buff the damage to 125. Either way I'll be happy

Centennial seems better than Krag in almost every way IMO, which is kinda crazy
The fact that krag is long ammo just makes it generally better. The only scenario I can think of centennial being better is when you go ironsights, bleed ammo, fighting mid-to-close range with no cover, the guys has been down once already and you are limiting yourself to body shots only. That is highly specific.

Krag balanced? Krag need damage and bullets buff, the krag is totally no worth the money u put in this gun, why i want this weapon when i have Mosin, Lebel, Berthier Veterlli that are totally better guns. People who play Krag is just for try something different, but u always gonna see weapons with 125+ damage
