    • @Omen_Burrito
      @Omen_Burrito Před rokem +1

      Yup, especially if you look at a lot of modern, more artistic sets, they repurpose older pieces that clearly were meant to be one thing but are reused to serve a different artistic purpose. Lego is all about imagination and creating something new out of what already exists. There is no set rule that says certain pieces cannot be or cannot represent something different.

    Every single one of those pieces was a gun or blaster at some point. The megaphone was the original standard for sets like classic StarWars. The “hose” was a pistol and has been used as one in several sets, most notably the Agents series, and before that “hose” was actually a completely different piece that actually did have string attached to it in some sets. The “camera” was also used as a blaster for Dengar in the original Slave One Star Wars set.

    LEGO has (or had) an official party line that said they did not make "violent" toys and guns, but I saw an interview with old school space designers and they said when they would but the little forks on the front of classic LEGO space ships and the boss would ask them "what's this supposed to be?" they would always say "Oh, that's an antenna. Definitely an Antenna". and the boss would say "Okay. As long as it's not some kind of weapon". and the designers said that it was okay, because they knew that of course pointy things on the front of space ships are laser cannons, and that even if the company told people they were not -- that all the kids would know "Of course it IS a laser cannon" so the designers didn't care what LEGO's official policy was.
    So yeah, things were designed and first used as megaphones, torch/lamp/flashlights, or cameras, but they often supplied with sets intentionally so that kids could use them as weapons.
