I love Kenny Rogers Music, from the 70s onward, but this has no Country sound to it in the world of music. The fretless bass moving so quickly like that reminds me of Elton John songs released around the same timeframe. It would be considered Contemporary or Pop at the time.

I knew the old cowboy in the video, he was a horseshoe blacksmith in Iowa for a good number of years. a great man. he moved to Texas and good a job on Kenny's ranch, His name was Maynard Thornberry, He Also had horses that he road in the Rose-bowl parade, he road them roman-style standing on top with on foot on one horse and the other on another. I knew the old cowboy in the video, he was a horseshoe blacksmith in Iowa for a good number of years. a great man. he moved to Texas and good a job on Kenny's ranch, His name was Maynard Thornberry, He Also had horses that he road in the Rose-bowl parade, he road them roman-style standing on top with on foot on one horse and the other on another.
