In my opinion the game currently is Great. Yes there’s a few issues with it but if I rember Ac was HORRIBLE ON CONSOLE when it came out. And with the updates it became Amazing and one I always play
I agree, it's worth the money _now_ and I believe it will improve a lot with time. Some of the screen is cut off for me also :p. Need controller mapping also and some of the wheel bugs sorted + adjustable FOV
The focus I'd like to see from the devs now is to sort out the frame-pacing to remove the stutter and also take a look at the Pro and X consoles which appear from tests I've seen to have lower framerates than the base consoles.
Great review. Frame rate is overly criticized when a tv will be used by most. It ticks every box that really matters. Sound is more important than most people give credit for. Sound wise it remins me of the Toca series years ago. I for one am looking forward to getting this game for the xbox one. Sometimes less is more so bear that in mind.
On the PS4 Pro is a great game, provided that you have not played it on a PC, as there is a drop in visual quality. But as a strictly console user - at least for the moment - I am extremely happy. The 30fps are a bit of a nag, but your eyes get use to it, specially if you play as I do, with a 48'' TV 1.1 meters away from my eyes, which allows me the immersion and the focus on the track where the frame rate is less noticeable.
I just thank kunos for bringing this to console we needed a true sim and now we have one I love it great review thanks for being honest about this game
Good review simracing 604 like always. I have preordered this game but i got some shipping issues i don’t know why 🤷🏾♂️. They’re gonna fix some issue but i’m septical about increasing the framerate but 30 fps looks fine for me with 20 cars. I got a ps4 slim. When i’m gonna get this game , i know i will enjoy it. I don’t mind people’s opinions cause they’re complaining every time. thumbs up at Kunos for this hard work. They deserved a lot.
It would be interesting to see it get a re-release on PS5 or Xbox Series X, or at the very least optimization for running on those systems using the already released versions.
Wish K.S. would have implemented the BT LED on PS4. Not everyone has a Fanatec setup which the LEDs do work for console. Also the lag time is about a tenth or two off. Thanks for the review Mike much appreciated.

I hope they can get rid of the slight input lag that im experiencing. Also have to unplug and plug my wheel back in each time i play to get steering and pedal input. It is still a pretty fun experience. Hoping it will get more improvements down the road. Headlights could shine a lil further too, they seem to not go very far.
This is my first immersion into ACC. Coming from GT Sport since launch, this game is way different. I thought I could port over my knowledge from Sport to this, at least track knowledge, but I am having to relearn the physics for sure. It’s fun, but also frustrating.
GT sport is an arcade racer. PC2 is great for consoles. So far ACC is lacking. I don't get enough feel of what the tyres are doing. Hopefully patches will follow soon to fix this.
Finally, a racing sim with satisfying sounds. However, the total lack of dynamic lighting inside the cockpit is distractingly bad. Needs some camera shudder too to add to the realism.
You said you use a G29, well I use a G27 on PC and I struggle to get good feel. What are your ffb settings or could you make an ffb tutorial for ACC with the consumer wheels?

I love it! I have a PS4 Pro, and I literally had a shitty grin on my face after 4 hours of playing ACC. The sound, physics, and sheer raw thrill you get can’t compare to GT Sport or PC2. I’m a long time sim player coming from GT2 and Race 07’, and I felt like I took a trip down memory lane regarding the immersion and overall experience. I also grew up around the Hockenheim track back home for 18 years, and the sound is dead spot on. Yes, the FPS needs tweaking, but it’s minimal to almost nonexistent once you get into the sim. I bought the game to play, not to watch the details, trees, and butterflies floating around. I'm very grateful that Kunos made a version for console. For those complaining that it’s “unplayable” are probably the same people that complained during Xmas that they didn’t get the toy they asked for. That’s my $0.2

When you played with the G29 did it recognize the wheel? Just got ACC on PS4 and when I go to wheel in the controls, it doesn’t say G29 (like AC does).
Framerate is horrible on the Xbox One X. I bought the digital preorder version so I requested for a refund because it was unplayable with tge stuttering frame rate. My Logitech g920 was disconnected everytime I played the game (I had to unplug & plug it to get it connected again but the issue still exists every time start ACC.

I really wanted to like it. I heard so much about how good the physics engine. It's not terribble but it's also not very forgiving at all. (using G29 setup) Even though I started carefully and slow-ish, I kept crashing because I couldnt feel what the tires are doing. I think I'll stick with GTS.
@@DrOllie-ve2dv I think you're right. I didnt give up on it and I've been playing it a lot lately. And even tho it's not great with the G29 it's still really fun. I tried to play GTS as well and it's just not as much fun to drive. However GTS does have it beat with replays and online matching (the console version at least), but I'm still struggling with pitstops in ACC for some reason.
is this an addon to the original title or a new game all together? Ive always been curious about this game but with no career progression ive shy'd away from buying it. I dont do online much because I dont have friends to play games and the random lobbies always seem to have someone whos sole purpose is to grief people.
am i the only one having the pit stop bug? Every time I wait the 30 seconds of the pit stop and proceed to leave the pit lane, the game disqualify me from the race for "speeding" even tho I'm going at 49 km/h (the pit lane speed limit). It's very annoying cause I can't complete races with pit stops in it.. And another bug/error, whenever I try to join the multiplayer the game crashes and I'm forced to restart the game..I'm kinda disappointed

on xbox one (standard) the 900p is terrible, i cant even see the meterboards and the cars in front of ke by 300+ meters, 30fps arent bad, and i love the physics, but i dont get why on xbox it can’t get to 1080p, also the imput delay on xbox is about 1 tent of a second, the online is really good and i enjoy it. (this is my point of view from xbox since this video comes from ps4)
Does anyone else think the FFB in this game is a little bit weird ?? Its my only complaint... I tweaked with the settings, but it still gives me sudden random twitches while cornering, and i can't feel some kerbs at all... I just got the game, and other than the small FFB issues it's great. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it ??
I am. I go in with the wheel, get into the race with the game, then disconnect it and then reconnect, then it recognises it as a wheel and works fine the rest of the time in game. Quirky.
Im using probably the worst wheel out there to be fair, TM 458 spyder....anyone have problems changing the steering lock? I cant adjust it so when i turn my wheel halfway the in game wheel turns 360..
Man I played gt sport then ACC right after and boy does it look bad lol, I can barely make out the 150,100 markers on spa sitting 4-5ft in my rig.. physics and sound are amazing and I'm a huge gt3 guy so I'll be staying but if they can up the graphics and fps somehow that would be amazing. (I'm on PS4 pro)
PS4 user here. I really like the game. But I had some issues that definetly need to be patched: -FFB feels so much lighter compared to the original AC, and I know Im playing on a "mere" T150, but yeah... -FOV settings are missing. Period. -Livery editor is broken, instead of the preset designs I find some glitched textures of official liveries. -The in game wheel movement is not in sync with my real life wheel movement. But what made me rage the most (not Kunos fault tho) is that I preordered the game on the Gamestop site, where it said that the IGTC DLC would've been free, but I have yet to recieve the email with the code to redeem said DLC! Anyone can help? Great video tho! Edit: I went to Gamestop to get the code by myself and the employees were very helpul so, problem solved.
in game wheel not syncing with real life wheel movements is honestly one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to sim racers. I could live with all these other bugs but this one is going to bother me for a while until they fix it.
@@hudsonrichards9573 to be fairly honest I didn't experience with all the cars, and not all with the same sync ratios (Ferrari 488 was perfectly synced, Audi R8 and Bentley 2018 were not good but not terrible either, and all Porsches are awfully out of sync, also every car has generally this issue in hairpins).
Gamers today are spoiled. Instead of knit-picking for fault everybody should be thankful that pc racing-sims are being ported to console in the first place. When Race-Pro came out for the Xbox 360 in 2009 I was one of 10 people who bought it. More Physics = More CPU, something has to give. A locked 30fps is better than a choppy 60fps. Consistency is King.
I have some issues with the FFB of my trustmasters t300 GTE. the ffbs is like flipped anybody else been having the same problem and been able to fix it?
This game have the best sim physics on any console I have ever own !! I just hope this game gets a PS5 version ! ... and I also hope Thrustmaster update the firmware of the T300 to be use with the PS5 and dont "force me" to buy a new wheel.

In my opinion it not playable with the G29. I need to press the brake pedal with my whole body weight to get 100% braking. There is no way to configurate that. I hope there will be an update to solve this.
The problem is not only with G29 but also with T300, FBB is not good. I hope KUNOS know that 70% of the drivers use Logitech and Thrustmaster wheel. Please make a patch to fix that.
Thats because the brake is being realistic, you don't press the throttle down to 100% as you will lock your front tyres. You normally press the brake enough to slow you down enough to make the corner so you can get more speed through the corner to get a faster lap time .
I currently play GTSport on ps4 with controller only. I am wanting a decent wheel setup to get started playing ACC. Anyone have any recommendations to not break the bank? What sort of seating do you all use?

I've played a lot of PC2 & still do for a lot classes. The interface, options, variety of cars & tracks is excellent. But for GT3, it's hard to beat ACC
On my ps4 pro, the old assetto Corsa still looks better in graphics, compaird to competizione .. 😱.. The trees are terrible and also the view in the mirror is pixeled.. GT Sports and all my other games haven't these graphic issues.. My TV is only full HD but, like I said : my other games are Sharp.. Any ideas?
The best racing sim on console by far. Everything feels really good about it and if you're interested in getting into sim racing on a budget, this will tick the boxes for sure.
It is weak for the G920 and G29 it seems but mine is working with FFB after changing settings following the FFB setup video. It feels like a power-steering car so a bit numb compared to non assisted steering cars for kick back but improved over the default settings.
I got me ACC for my PS 4 pro, gave it a test right after the release, I found it very unstable and unattractive. Now, March 22, I tried it again and it seems to run smoother... is this possible?
To me, fixing the light brightness at night, also the brightness/reflectivity of the aux lights will make it all so much better! I’m sure they will do something about it in the future though
Glad it’s on consol, tho disappointed with a beta release. Real shame about fov. There’s a lot of console owners use wheels, and have screens setup in front of them. Seems the devs think like you, consol owners don’t do sim rigs. Correct fov makes so much difference. Seating position can’t be changed. Keyboard keys can’t be assigned, much needed. Not enough buttons on my tx wheel. These seem like basic settings that are missing. Lots of people having trouble getting the game to recognise their wheel. Fingers crossed updates will come quick n fast.
J Hiddn I can’t speak to the wheel setup issues myself. I have a G29, and it was calibrated and ready to use in about 30 seconds. And FWIW, I’m not advocating that Kunos shouldn’t add an FOV slider, I just think it must have fallen lower on their priority list than some other things. I’d imagine that they’ll provide an update at some point to add it
Yeah, sorry, wasn’t having a pop at u. I love AC on Xbox, wheel is spot on, guess I was expecting similar settings for ACC out of the box, including the fov. I didn’t have AC on its release tho, so maybe it’s improved loads. Good video as always so thx for the effort. I’ve got the basic Xbox one, doesn’t look quite as good as your video, but looking fwd to putting in some race time.
Mike hope you don't get paid per word $ = succinct. Got mine yesterday. Great review. Just forget / ignore the frame rate, really it does not detract anything from the game. It's all about the physics.
If only ! Choppy / low frame rate impacts the physics and responsiveness of the controls unfortunately . Tried it last night on the Xbox one X and it was bordering on unplayable , actually looks more stable on the PS4 tbh .
@@olevet75 I could be wrong mate but I'm sure it's supposed to be 60 FPS on Xbox one X , my monitor FPS counter certainly read that anyway . One of the press releases I read last week stated that too .

You don’t get automatic access to all tracks. 10 tracks. The ffb is frustrating. The lack of cockpit adjustments is disappointing. Graphics below project cars2 or dirt rally 2.
No man, it's really easy to drive on controller ! that is no issue at all. They nailed the controller. Other than being forced to use trigger buttons for accelerator and brake.... which doesn't give you much control compared to the right stick. That sucks very badly. But it's easy to drive. Drive with the steering view switched off view and you have no jerky controller hand movement.
Hang on a minute. Assetto corsa wasn't limited to 30fps. Why is this capped at 30fps? Assetto corsa is excellent on PS4. I dont get why this is 30fps. And you cant adjust the camera in cockpit view ? Why??? Thats lazy game development. Thanks for the review. This just saved me £28
I tried playing with controller (I do have a sim rig) and its unplayable. I don't care particularly and I think most players probably are using sim rig anyway?
Game is by far the best racing game on console just ahead of the original AC. Especially if playing with a controller. For all those struggling with a pad here is a tip: from the default settings, play with steering speed and sensitivity until you are almost at max steering lock in a flat out corner, Monza is a great track to test this. Once you reach max steering lock and your not running off the tarmac in a flat out corner go into setup menu and set steering ratio to lowest number.....works amazing.
I play with a controller & the movements with the hands in cockpit cam are so snappy and so fast it just looks so unrealistic to me. Not sure if anyone else has this problem but it makes cockpit cam undriveable with a controller

I recently bought a racing wheel and I really need to go back to DriveClub and give that a spin. I’m a lover of sim and arcade racers. I think it’s the best way to go about it. Why limit your choices . IMHO I probably like arcade racers more, due to the simplistic not super hardcore gameplay.
This game is trash on ps4. Ur alone most of time playing with bots. U can't join a race since all the cunts put a 1000000 hours in practice stage so rrace never start
These days thats how game development teams work. Get the game out half finished so they can get paid, then you are sat there with half a game waiting for months while they finish making the game. Its so wrong.
So something Strange has happened, after not playing for 2 days and after watching your video suddeenly the game was a bit playable. So after 1hr of mucking about I'm now at a point where I can do career mode. I've had a few beers so will return to it tomorrow and see how it feels and share my settings. What I will say is Force feedback is still not that great with what I have just now :(

Even on PC, ACC has the worst input lag of all the sims by far, and it hasn't really improved. So don't hold your breath.
I have a race rig and I like the game. I do iracing as well. It can not compete with that but it is a very good sim.

For me at release it was nearly unplayable due to input lag. But now it is way better. An fov setting and view lean is the only thing missing now imo.

Graphics look incredible on the Xbox one X ,it's native 4k..
But it the fps is horrible. Coming from Forza 7 and F1 2019 it messes with you alot. And I have it on the One X with a racing rig.
4K does mean anything if the frame rate is lower than 60fps. This is especially true in shooters and racing games.

If acc adds an a map that is like a city making it feels like open world like the mods do it sill be the best

on xbox one (standard) the 900p is terrible, i cant even see the meterboards and the cars in front of ke by 300+ meters, 30fps arent bad, and i love the physics, but i dont get why on xbox it can’t get to 1080p, also the imput delay on xbox is about 1 tent of a second, the online is really good and i enjoy it. (this is my point of view from xbox since this video comes from ps4)
Does anyone else think the FFB in this game is a little bit weird ?? Its my only complaint...
I tweaked with the settings, but it still gives me sudden random twitches while cornering, and i can't feel some kerbs at all...

I am. I go in with the wheel, get into the race with the game, then disconnect it and then reconnect, then it recognises it as a wheel and works fine the rest of the time in game. Quirky.
@@joeyc8546 had that issue again today after I started the console. Had to disconnect and reconnect the wheel again, then readjust the steering lock.

Im using probably the worst wheel out there to be fair, TM 458 spyder....anyone have problems changing the steering lock? I cant adjust it so when i turn my wheel halfway the in game wheel turns 360..
Man I played gt sport then ACC right after and boy does it look bad lol, I can barely make out the 150,100 markers on spa sitting 4-5ft in my rig.. physics and sound are amazing and I'm a huge gt3 guy so I'll be staying but if they can up the graphics and fps somehow that would be amazing. (I'm on PS4 pro)

I really like the game. But I had some issues that definetly need to be patched:
-FFB feels so much lighter compared to the original AC, and I know Im playing on a "mere" T150, but yeah...
-FOV settings are missing. Period.
-Livery editor is broken, instead of the preset designs I find some glitched textures of official liveries.
-The in game wheel movement is not in sync with my real life wheel movement.
But what made me rage the most (not Kunos fault tho) is that I preordered the game on the Gamestop site, where it said that the IGTC DLC would've been free, but I have yet to recieve the email with the code to redeem said DLC! Anyone can help?

in game wheel not syncing with real life wheel movements is honestly one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to sim racers. I could live with all these other bugs but this one is going to bother me for a while until they fix it.
@@hudsonrichards9573 to be fairly honest I didn't experience with all the cars, and not all with the same sync ratios (Ferrari 488 was perfectly synced, Audi R8 and Bentley 2018 were not good but not terrible either, and all Porsches are awfully out of sync, also every car has generally this issue in hairpins).

Gamers today are spoiled. Instead of knit-picking for fault everybody should be thankful that pc racing-sims are being ported to console in the first place. When Race-Pro came out for the Xbox 360 in 2009 I was one of 10 people who bought it. More Physics = More CPU, something has to give. A locked 30fps is better than a choppy 60fps. Consistency is King.

This game have the best sim physics on any console I have ever own !! I just hope this game gets a PS5 version ! ... and I also hope Thrustmaster update the firmware of the T300 to be use with the PS5 and dont "force me" to buy a new wheel.
There are adapters for that so you dont have to continue to buy new wheels you know right..?

In my opinion it not playable with the G29. I need to press the brake pedal with my whole body weight to get 100% braking. There is no way to configurate that. I hope there will be an update to solve this.
The problem is not only with G29 but also with T300, FBB is not good. I hope KUNOS know that 70% of the drivers use Logitech and Thrustmaster wheel. Please make a patch to fix that.

Thats because the brake is being realistic, you don't press the throttle down to 100% as you will lock your front tyres. You normally press the brake enough to slow you down enough to make the corner so you can get more speed through the corner to get a faster lap time .

In my opinion, PC2 is way better.
I have played PC2 a lot. But ACC is now my favorite. The feeling of the car is realy nice and understandable everytime.
I've played a lot of PC2 & still do for a lot classes. The interface, options, variety of cars & tracks is excellent. But for GT3, it's hard to beat ACC
On my ps4 pro, the old assetto Corsa still looks better in graphics, compaird to competizione .. 😱.. The trees are terrible and also the view in the mirror is pixeled.. GT Sports and all my other games haven't these graphic issues.. My TV is only full HD but, like I said : my other games are Sharp.. Any ideas?

The best racing sim on console by far. Everything feels really good about it and if you're interested in getting into sim racing on a budget, this will tick the boxes for sure.

Yes having problems with the G920 on Xbox very weak ffb
It is weak for the G920 and G29 it seems but mine is working with FFB after changing settings following the FFB setup video. It feels like a power-steering car so a bit numb compared to non assisted steering cars for kick back but improved over the default settings.
I got me ACC for my PS 4 pro, gave it a test right after the release, I found it very unstable and unattractive.
Now, March 22, I tried it again and it seems to run smoother... is this possible?

PS4 (not pro) 30fps unnoticeable, really enjoyable but huge steep learning curve, haven’t touched GT sport in over a week, it’s lame by comparison

To me, fixing the light brightness at night, also the brightness/reflectivity of the aux lights will make it all so much better! I’m sure they will do something about it in the future though
Glad it’s on consol, tho disappointed with a beta release. Real shame about fov. There’s a lot of console owners use wheels, and have screens setup in front of them. Seems the devs think like you, consol owners don’t do sim rigs. Correct fov makes so much difference. Seating position can’t be changed. Keyboard keys can’t be assigned, much needed. Not enough buttons on my tx wheel. These seem like basic settings that are missing. Lots of people having trouble getting the game to recognise their wheel. Fingers crossed updates will come quick n fast.
J Hiddn I can’t speak to the wheel setup issues myself. I have a G29, and it was calibrated and ready to use in about 30 seconds. And FWIW, I’m not advocating that Kunos shouldn’t add an FOV slider, I just think it must have fallen lower on their priority list than some other things. I’d imagine that they’ll provide an update at some point to add it
Yeah, sorry, wasn’t having a pop at u. I love AC on Xbox, wheel is spot on, guess I was expecting similar settings for ACC out of the box, including the fov. I didn’t have AC on its release tho, so maybe it’s improved loads. Good video as always so thx for the effort. I’ve got the basic Xbox one, doesn’t look quite as good as your video, but looking fwd to putting in some race time.

If only ! Choppy / low frame rate impacts the physics and responsiveness of the controls unfortunately . Tried it last night on the Xbox one X and it was bordering on unplayable , actually looks more stable on the PS4 tbh .

I could be wrong mate but I'm sure it's supposed to be 60 FPS on Xbox one X , my monitor FPS counter certainly read that anyway . One of the press releases I read last week stated that too .

You don’t get automatic access to all tracks. 10 tracks. The ffb is frustrating. The lack of cockpit adjustments is disappointing.

No man, it's really easy to drive on controller ! that is no issue at all. They nailed the controller. Other than being forced to use trigger buttons for accelerator and brake.... which doesn't give you much control compared to the right stick. That sucks very badly. But it's easy to drive. Drive with the steering view switched off view and you have no jerky controller hand movement.
Does everyone with a ps4 Pro play this on 1080p on 4k tv to get the smoothest play rather than 1800p??

Hang on a minute. Assetto corsa wasn't limited to 30fps. Why is this capped at 30fps? Assetto corsa is excellent on PS4. I dont get why this is 30fps.

Only 20 cars and 15 tracks, that's pretty low compared to Project Cars 2's 180 cars and 60 tracks. I think I'll just pick up Project Cars 2.
Game is by far the best racing game on console just ahead of the original AC. Especially if playing with a controller. For all those struggling with a pad here is a tip: from the default settings, play with steering speed and sensitivity until you are almost at max steering lock in a flat out corner, Monza is a great track to test this. Once you reach max steering lock and your not running off the tarmac in a flat out corner go into setup menu and set steering ratio to lowest number.....works amazing.

I play with a controller & the movements with the hands in cockpit cam are so snappy and so fast it just looks so unrealistic to me. Not sure if anyone else has this problem but it makes cockpit cam undriveable with a controller

I recently bought a racing wheel and I really need to go back to DriveClub and give that a spin. I’m a lover of sim and arcade racers. I think it’s the best way to go about it. Why limit your choices . IMHO I probably like arcade racers more, due to the simplistic not super hardcore gameplay.

These days thats how game development teams work. Get the game out half finished so they can get paid, then you are sat there with half a game waiting for months while they finish making the game. Its so wrong.

So something Strange has happened, after not playing for 2 days and after watching your video suddeenly the game was a bit playable. So after 1hr of mucking about I'm now at a point where I can do career mode. I've had a few beers so will return to it tomorrow and see how it feels and share my settings. What I will say is Force feedback is still not that great with what I have just now :(
