I'm a former Buddhist (born and raised) and a convert to Catholicism and Bryan is completely correct. Reiki is in no way Christian and its a shame that some Catholics practice it.
The dangers of catholicism should be the next agenda. Research, ask for the Holy Spirit to dwell within. It' s not Biblicale according to the Holy Book. God Bless.. Only Jesus can forgive, and is our only mediator, not Mary, not Peter, no Pope, no priest, only Christ. Thanks for making this video. I have a friend who told me they are recently getting into Reiki and it's not something I had any knowledge about other than the Church warns against it like all New Age and eastern spiritual practices as incompatible with Christian practice. This gave me something to start with.
I am a Reiki master therapist, but haven't practiced for several years. If it weren't for Reiki, I would never have gone back to the Catholic church. I met a wonderful Franciscan priest, Rev Joe, and he encouraged me to continue practicing and sent me people for Reiki . I would place my hands on people and picked up what was wrong with them. He told me to always send Jesus to the client. I'm sorry that there r individuals out there that r instilling fear into people's minds. It has helped me to grow spiritually and I'm grateful 🙏for having the opportunity to be exposed to it and the peaceful experience.
I'm sorry that your priest is confused and doesn't know the faith doesn't know what the Catholic Church teaches on this. I'm sorry that you have to justify your practice of this even though it's against god, the bible, and the Catholic Church and the express statements of the bishops. We will pray for you though.
He was not confused. He was more open minded and it was very close th Christ and every 1 agreed. Like I said before, as long as you pray over the person and keep it Christian it's OK. You are full of fear! End of story.

Bryan, I am so grateful that I found your channel. Your videos have been so edifying for me. I’m a cradle Catholic who was deceived in the New Age for some time and Praise God by the power of the Holy Spirit I was delivered from that life. I am concerned that many people who I follow online that I am learning about my Faith from dismiss these New Age practices as fake. The reason people become so deceived is that the experiences are very real. The Devil masquerades as an angel of light. I was Reiki certified and thank God never practiced outside of my home but had two family members suffering from kidney stones get complete relief from excruciating pain when I did it to them. Neither of them knew what I was doing. I am not promoting this in any way, only illustrating the experience. The question isn’t do these practices work (as many of them can seem to work including Reiki). The question is who is behind them. Satan absolutely deceives many because people have experiences which are very real and they think they are from God. Reiki, Astrology, mediumship, crystals, etc. I am so grateful that I was shown the Truth about who was behind all of these demonic practices. God is so Good. I fear that so many of the people being deceived in the New Age will never hear the Word of God because they are being told to not believe something that they have experienced with their own senses. The message shouldn’t be: don’t believe those practices because they are fake. The message should be: don’t believe those practices because they are not of God. When I found that out it shook me to my core and I got on my hands and knees and repented immediately. I had no idea. I was not well catechized as a child. Most New Age practices allude to God/Jesus as if they are part of Christianity and it makes many Christians feel like it’s not only okay, but even God’s will to be doing these things. I can still remember how I felt when I read Deuteronomy for the first time and I realized these practices were forbidden by God. I immediately threw out every single pagan item in my home (no small feat-I filled two or three construction sized garbage bags). When I tell you, I had no idea, I am being very sincere. Peace to you Bryan. I am learning so much about my Faith from you. 🙏🏻

God gave me great freedom, I was very ill due to obsessive compulsive disorder and I looked for a course in reiki. I felt worse, tired, irritated and told me it was normal, just a detox of bad energy. I am catholic and my heart was divided, I started to doubt what I always believed, my faith was shaken. Thank God on the day of the attunement I just felt a strong desire to give up.

Thank you Bryan. Just bought your book to read. I wanted to ask about this “we are all energy. Electromagnetic energy, quantum energy etc” I watched some NDE videos and some are very moving. They seem to depict all forgiving God, no judgement etc. I wondered whether we all go to paradise first except who are taken by satan then sorted to different levels of heaven and hell. It bothered me very much as I was a believer of reincarnation. One thing that I also believe is devil so I couldn’t accept people who turned away from church with this idea. I know I sound ignorant but please it would be really great if you can make a video about this. Thanks.
God is an all-forgiving God. He will forgive anyone at any time who sincerely asks and apologizes. However, we don't just receive forgiveness. We don't just go to heaven. And there are many people who don't follow God, don't want to follow God, and actually prefer evil.
God taught us that there is a penalty for sin, but that he is also merciful if we humble ourselves and come to him. With that being said, God teaches us that there is a heaven and hell and that we go right to the judgement when we die to account for our lives. God is going to do everything throughout our life to find us and get us to heaven, if we will let Him and allow Him to work in our lives. The devil is real and does deceive people too which is why God calls us to pray for others.

I'm surprised that practicing Catholics would fall for Reiki. It is so clearly false that it puzzles me that Reiki is making inroads into the Christian community. What makes counterfeit money believable is that it looks and feels incredibly like real money. The less like real money a phony dollar bill looks, the less likely it is to be passed successfully from one person to another. The same is true of counterfeit spirituality. So, as I said, I'm confused as to why Reiki is making inroads into the Christian community.

Luke 8: 43-48 (RSV-Catholic Edition) talks about a woman being healed. Verse 46: "But Jesus said, “Some one touched me; for I perceive that power has gone forth from me.”" Does "power" = energy or virtue or grace?
I did not read your book yet but I have been reflecting on the topic of yoga and Christianity. I came to the point in my study that one led to Christ and one did not. So now I see. Also why you think Pope Francis not calling for more Rosary during this unrest.

I was a reiki master before I came back it’s demonic

Way back in the early 1990's, I was attuned to Reiki 1 and 2. That time was among my truly Dark times and also among my worst decisions, I had made to mess up my life.
Nothing "promised" by my Reiki "Teacher" worked out the way it was supposed to! It took me decades to throw off this demonic thing and finally, I was able to fully renounce this dark energy away from me, with God's help.
Reiki is evil, folks. It doesn't matter what Golden Promises anyone makes for you to be attuned to it. God and Jesus is the Only way forward, anything else is Satanic!
Never tried Reiki, but have done Yoga in the past. Also, seen a medium once yrs ago.
My family member moved to Ohio from Los Angeles and begun a relationship the one of the local Catholic Parish . When she returned to us years later tolled us the nuns had taught her in the ways of reiki and the was qualified to heal anyone for $money like a chiropractor . We slightly mocked her and asked her to prove anything . She then pulled out a gold chain and moved it over my knees saying there was a issue in both knees . We laughed as we noticed she was causing the chain to twirl .years later I tore my acl on one knee and 2 years later the other was torn too . Whether if it was her satanic curse or just coincidence I’ll never know . Please stay far away from these practitioner of darkness for the are not of God . Use scripture to shame the to repentance . As Catholics we can pray over over People in the name of Jesus . We as Catholics put ourselves under Jesus and Jesus only. Anyone who performs Reiki needs confession and a possible exocism. Jesus heals when we Pray its the Holy Spirit coming down on us to be able to heal. I like Damian Stayne of Cor Et Lumen Christi (The light of Christ) who is practising the Catholic Charisms of Prophecy, Healing, Knowledge etc and he is training people up in this part of the Catholic Faith. The CCR also shows how to heal prayer, the Bible and the Sacrements, Baptism come first.

I've had many people in my clinic for Chiro care or Acupuncture who practiced Reiki. Some masters. I always asked them why they are here? They in turn say "what do you mean". Then I say, well, you purport to treat people using this 'energy' that you pull from the universe. Why don't you use that same energy and just treat yourself. (Crickets)

Agreed you are not wrong. Christians must not practice other religious practices... They are different ... totally. Do not.
I tried doing the crystal meditation thing and felt nothing. However they were special to me because my mom bought me an amythist crystal when I was like 11 years old and its always been here. The rest of them my dad bought them. I had this crystal that was tiny and it would always get lost but somehow my mom would find it on the ground.
I felt bad for doing it though because God doesn’t give us signs. But on my return to my faith I did make a mistake thinking it was a sign from God to get rid of them.
Crystals are good and powerful. Just make sure their real.
Honestly, this decision was based on irrational fear. Catholic Bishops wear Amethyst. The heads on many religions use the things that they teach others to fear so that they can maintain authoritarian power based on fear over commoners and peasants.
Crystals don't do anything. If anything they can be toxic if it gets in your system

Thank you for the question. Biblical healing is healing by the power of God/Jesus. Nothing to do with energy or channeling. It is where you pray over someone and ask God to heal them. You may even lay your hands on them, like Jesus did, but the hands are just symbolic of God's action. The hands don't do anything. Praying to Jesus and the Holy Spirit to effect healing in someone's life is the Christian way of healing.
Biblical, Church healing is this: A Clergy Laying Hands on you AND Anointing You With Oil...or! Lol, you ask God directly(prayer) to heal you and if It is His Will, His Divine Will, He Will!!! 😊❤🙏❤️🔥

I have mixed feelings on Pope Francis. Sometimes he says things that are really amazing, and other times he says things that are really confusing or worse. So I love and respect him because he is the Pope, and we must respect the office. But he does concern me sometimes along with some of the people he is appointing and some of the bishops that he listens to.
The core of Babylon refers to the pagan Roman Empire or Jerusalem. Or both working together. They both persecuted our Lord and crucified him, and they both persecuted Catholic Christians. The Romans persecuted the Catholic church for three centuries torturing them, jailing them, and killing them.

Is the fact that you can't scientifically prove an energy that is claimed to be spiritual a valid argument against Reiki? That resembles the argument from atheists that God can't be scientifically proven.
Reiki is not Catholic Practice, I hear this in this channel for the first time, I will never agree with Reiki, and God cannot be energy, but God is creator, even created energy, Jesus healed people by his own power, being the son of God, He is a God and has divine power. 🙏
I don't believe reiki is bad by any means. I am a Roman Catholic and I believe in energy transfer. Religion and science coincide with one another. You can not have one without the other. Thank you for your perspective though. I respect it
You are going against your own church, believing in something that's against God, Jesus, in The Bible, and not being a very good. Catholic, no offense. The Catholic Church has nothing to do with energy, and neither does God. That's a Buddhist and a Hindu teaching. Science and religion can go together, but the spiritual energy of reiku cannot be scientifically verified. As we stated in the video.
Not just Catholics it is not in tune with any of the Christains. I am also not against science. But do you know the science and energies behind Reiki? The Bible talks about many different types of spirits.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit. Instead, test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1
What does it say? It says there are many spirits and one should not believe any spirit. When you rely on spiritual healing you don't have any idea what spirit you are receiving. All these spirits are not from the kingdom of God. Any Spirit that is not Holy Spirit is not for a Christian. You can get a better healing from Holy Spirit than relying on Reiki. But Holy Spirit can not be commercialized. You need to have holiness and purity to receive Holy Spirit.

See what Taylor Marshall says about it, he's currently covering the topic by observing similar situations that took place in Church History. Bad popes came to power, but the Holy Spirit never allowed them to change the official teachings of the Church. These events _(his pontificate),_ in my opinion, fits the events described in Revelation and the prophecies of the Saints _(such as Ann Catherine Emmerich),_ speaking of many clerics loosing the faith right before Christ's return.

The problem with bishops is that catholicd know many, well most of them are luke warm and we know they come with unbiblical comments and views. This weakens their position as teachers and when they try to correct, people disregard them, because "if they are wrong with that other thing, they are wrong with this".

@@theRockSalter 47 Janny Lane You definitely need to read our book. It is not the Catholic Church's position the Catholics can practice yoga. The whole heart of yoga is contrary to Christianity. There are some things we share in common, but there is far more that is different, and it's a spirituality that's come down over thousands of years of Hinduism. Only the first three limbs align with Catholicism, and the next five do not, especially the eighth (Samadi) which absolutely does not. You have to try to spiritualize everything and ignore most things to make them compatible. The exercises are a different story since they don't come from yoga and since yoga stole them and appropriated them from other exercise programs. There's a lot more to say on this, but you shouldn't tell people that they can practice yoga when it's incompatible with Christianity and Christian belief and practice.

It just concerns me when people say that you can do yoga wholesale with no cautions when that isn't the position of the Catholic church or Christianity. The truth is..... Reiki comes from specific Religious practice... it has symbols and more and the founder was Tendo Buddhist , Mikaou usui..... This means that its from that religion and also deals with deities from that part of the world.
REiki is not just hands on love and kindness... its a specific energy one Chanels... People have no idea that it comes from what Mikaou usui enlightenment and Deities pass that on to him.
So no Reiki should not be practiced by Christians. Purely because its not of Jesus... Or the Holy Spirit. I was a practitioner and was a "Reiki master" so I know how it feels , and what it is about. I have left it as one should not play with what one does not know.
If I was TEndo Buddhist / Shinto... sure I could practice it since it came from a lay priest mikao usui.... But I am not.

dr usui was also a christian, yes he studies a bupdism, yoga and other. i think a reiki is a gift from God. if you don't find for it you won't get it. i don't think the right way is to sit down and wait for God to get all you want. you need to learn to get smarter, not to sit down and ask - o God, learn me. Also in history no one was talking about electricity or radio wawes. is it bad or demonic? it's all energy. I think reiki is just one way how we can help to oursef or other if we want it.

There is an interaction occurring when one human touches another. Sure, it may not be true healing, but something is happening. Science is proceeding in these studies. Relief from stress is healing. Actually, Jesus made confession to a Priest. It was Jesus who gave the Apostles the authority to forgive sins in his name. See Jn. 20:21-23.

Nowhere in the Catholic Church claims that water baptism is just a free ticket to heaven. Another misunderstanding. But Jesus was clear that you need it for salvation. Mark 16:16.
Now where does it the bible say that baptism has to be a conscious decision. But it does say the promise is also for children. Acts 2:38-39.
There is nothing wrong with having statues. They are symbolic representations. They are not afraid to or worshiped. And the Bible itself has statues for God.
Ex. 25:18 (18-20): You shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them on the two ends of the mercy seat.
Numbers 21;8-9 And the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.
John 3:14: “Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up. The serpent was a type, or a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ our Lord. It brought about healing just as Christ would be being lifted up.
It was a symbol of Christ, which is exactly what the Catholic Church says about statues. They are art. They are symbolic representations, nothing to do with worship. People ended up worshiping the serpent over time and burning incense to it, and God commanded that it be destroyed by Hezekiah. But it had been fine for 800 years without a problem.
This confirms that the prohibition of exodus 20 had nothing to do with making graven images but only with creating false gods and idols to worship as the pagans did. We also know this because Protestants never quote verse 3. You shalt have no other gods before me. Then he mentions bowing to statues and worshipping them. That’s the prohibition.
As a side note: 1 Kings 6:23, 27, 29, 30 (12-13; 9:3), many graven images of things in heaven and earth throughout the temple of God.
MARY QUEEN OF HEAVEN
If you read 1 and 2 Kings, you will read about the Queen Mother. The king of Israel always had his mother reign by his side. For example, Bathsheba with King David. She has a throne seat right next to his when he is enthroned as King. The queen mother is often mentioned and is even listed among the members of the Royal Court in 2 Kings 24. In Jeremiah 13, her royal office is also described by the prophet Jeremiah, who tells how the queen mother possessed a throne and a crown, symbolic of her position of authority in the kingdom. Jesus is the new and eternal king of Israel, and Mary his mother would naturally be the queen mother which is exactly what we see in Revelation 12.
Likewise, in Luke, Elizabeth calls Mary, "the mother of my Lord." This was the exact phrase that people called the queen mother in the Old Testament. The kings of old always honored their mother , and who wouldn't honor their mother more than Jesus himself? He is not afraid of her nor threatened by her, or any of his saints for that matter. But rather, he is happy to glorify us with his own Glory. A picture of this can be seen Revelation 12. A woman who is clothed in the Sun and had a crown of twelve stars. This same woman gave birth to a male child that would be the ruler of all nations (Jesus). Thus, we see this in Scripture

The Church is only handing on the truth that is received from Jesus Christ himself. He is our Master. However, priests and holy people can help guide you also, just not in techniques that are contrary to Jesus or Christianity. Thanks for the comment.
Catholic theologians like the apologist Mercier here have a lot to learn from Orthodox theology especially the Greek Church Fathers who have distinguished God in his Essence and Energies. The essential is totally unknowable and it is the energies that we know and experience especially the Holy Spirit as power, force, or energy. Similar to the Charismatic healers mentioned by Mercier, what Reiki practitioners do in the laying on of hand is called Epiklesis that is they call down on the Holy Spirit who as Ki - or Qi or Prana, do the healing. This is the gift of healing being given by the Holy Spirit. Because we Catholics lack the theological framework and categories about this, we are poorer by our inability to receive this gift and not able to see the Holy Spirit at work in healing here because the categories of this system is alien to and originated outside the Catholic faith. This sweeping magisterial Catholic condemnation of Reiki is more of the symptom of the Catholic poverty in theology which has not been nourished by Greek Patristics. What Catholics have is only the Latin Patristics which simply takes God in his Simplicity and not the distinction of his Essence and Energies. As a primary example Augustine and Aquinas for all their brilliance never cared to study the Greek language and sadly never studied in-depth Greek theology and understanding of the Bible. Had they and our line of Catholic theologians through the two millennia done so, our doctrinal police today could have been more generous and positive in their assessment and judgment of Reiki. A robust Pneumatology and Theology of Religious Pluralism nourished by both Latin and Greek patristics can further deepen our Catholic faith and overcome what some theologians call as Holy Spirit Atheism, Binity (not Trinity) Limitations and subsequent inability to see and identify the Holy Spirit in its Asian revelations as Ki or Qi or Prana or others. We need more openness in listening this time not only to Church magisterium but more also to where and how the Holy Spirit is blowing and leading the Church into. Afterall the Spirit in Asian languages is identified and called even with qualifications by Catholics as Ki or Qi or Prana who Jesus called “the Spirit of Truth” (John 16:13).
None of what you said is actually Christian. You have hijacked orthodoxy or Eastern Catholicism. More so, and you have tried to blend it with new age thinking, and the result is still a new age. That's why you won't find what you preach in any Catholic or orthodox or Christian documents or church teachings. It is impossible to call down the Holy Spirit and a Buddhist practice like Reiki. You are misusing and cooperating things that christians have said but joining it to new age teachings, which still make it new age. God is not energy, and the church is authoritative on that.
