convicted again, sigh. My stronghold currently is careers. Twice now on podcasts, a theme has been "letting go" with a point on careers/schooling. I'm in college rn, and I feel confused because I guess I'm not at the point where I've heard what my life calling is yet. So I'm desperately holding onto my education and hoping it goes my way. It's caused terrible anxiety for me, because I'm essentially banking my life and worth on it, but it's lowkey falling apart (highkey wilderness season). I feel like I have so many eyes on me and if this blows up in my face, I'd end up being perceived as a failure, but I don't want to fail the Lord either 😭💔 My whole life has revolved around my education ( first gen & eldest daughter of immigrants rahh ) so if I end up being called to homemaking or something my parents might send me to the homeland fr !!

2 Corinthians 6:14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness" This verse is so powerful and it should be applied to platonic friendships as well. Be careful with who you allow into your life because your friends can influence your behaviours. I had left a relationship with someone who didn't believe in Jesus Christ because the holy spirit had been convicting me. I was okay with being single but I allowed "friends" into my life who were not on the same path with me and those friendships caused me to drift so far from God. When letting go of these unequally yoked relationships/friendships ask God to give you comfort and to fill your life with people God fearing people.
I prayed for this confirmation right before you uploaded it and got exactly what I asked for🙌🏽 which let's me know that my Savior is always around and listening. For that I am forever grateful and smiling so hard right now. So thank you so much for this video. Be blessed!❤🙏🏽

What would you say to being the light in the world then? Isn’t it our duty as Christians to try and help our fellow brothers and sisters to come to Jesus. I understand not forcing it, to which I agree. But shouldn’t we at least give it a shot? I love your podcast girl i always tune in when you post! Keep it up ❤
I agree with you. The truth is offensive to those who don't know it or want to accept it. That's why how you approach them is key. We have to walk in boldness and love. Plant the seed and hope for another Christian to water it. (Or you can do both the Holy Spirit doesn't playyy). We literally need to shake them to wake up and not softly tell them to wake up only for them to go back to sleep and miss the bus.
I think there's always room for being the light ! At the root of it all though is our heart posture and desires, which God knows. If it's not right, then it may not work out as intended. I think it's advisable to go to God in prayer, and fasting even, before embarking on trying to introduce a specific person or people you have in mind to the Gospel. Just to make sure you and Him are on the same type timing fr ! How you want to bring the light to someone and how God wants to, may be different (like the person above is saying !!) Which could make all the difference.

At the end of the day, God calls us to be salt and light in this world and it is absolutely our duty to guide others to Christ and strengthen those who share the faith. As I mentioned, I think that 2 Corinthians 6 doesn't tell us not to be a light, on the contrary, it encourages it through being set apart for the Lord! What I do think is important to remember is that we can sometimes use the idea of "trying to bring someone to (or closer to) Jesus" to justify romantic relationships with people that end up dimming the light we were called to be in the process. So, if by "give it a shot" you mean evangelizing, witnessing, supporting, and bringing Jesus to those you know or are friends with, who aren't saved or are growing in their walks *without* getting romantically attached... ABSOLUTELYYY!!!! But if by "give it a shot" you mean entering into unequally-yoked relationships with the hopes of being a witness while SIMULTANEOUSLY being romantically involved..... I would definitely ask God for guidance on the matter. BUTTTT as someone who has been there and done that for over 2 years, in two different relationships (with an unbeliever and believer), I would strongly advise against it 😮💨 Regardless, thank you so much for commenting, I really appreciate you (and everyone else who is chiming in)!!
