Traditional dances of the Ozarks and Appalachia

The traditional heritage dancing of the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missouri largely came with settlers from the mountains of Appalachia. These dances include the popular Old Time Square Dances, traditional waltz and Two-Step, as well as later novelty dances such as the Polka and the Salty Dog Rag.
