    What I like about jumping rope is that 30 mins flies by before you know it. I like doing two minute rounds with 30 secs rest 12x and that burns nearly 500 cals at my bodyweight. Also even though it's pretty intense cardio during, you recover fast from it and can do it on a daily basis. It doesn't interfere with lifting or recovery at all.

    • @Testosteroneisnaturaltrump2024
      @Testosteroneisnaturaltrump2024 Před rokem +2

      If I were you I'd run more a week. Running is great for cardio endurance strength and muscle size. Depending on how you do it. So running 2-3 times a week is good i.e Monday, Thursday and Sunday 2 days in-between, then the next week it's Wednesday and Saturday, and so on. Then you can even have 3 days in-between sometime and some weeks only once a week. But try and do it 2-3 times a week it's more beneficial. Then do other workouts on that same day, go for a run, come home do squats and lunges and jump rope. But jump rope 4-6 days a week if you can it's just a great calf, coordination, rhythm, forearm, building exercise, pair it with calf raises and you have your calves sorted out.

    The beauty of jump rope is it basically eliminates all excuses. Don’t have to go to the gym, get in your car, put shorts and shoes on, and on and on.
    I do my jumps all throughout the day. 5 mins of downtime, jump, want to decompress before a stressful day, jump, about to make a speech and hate public speaking and need to get rid of nervous energy, jump, etc.

    Dude I gotta be honest. I have been working out since the past 1 year; I did crunches, squats etc. basically every body weight exercise for lower body. I became lean and all but my arms remained small.
    Started jump rope after seeing you guys but my arms always got tired before legs. I didn't give up. It's been nearly 3 weeks and I'm doing jump rope for 20 min daily(4 sets and 5 mins each with 1 min rest in between) and the most results I'm seeing is on my arms. My triceps are visible for the first time in life.
    Edit : Update after 10 months
    I lift 30kg(66 lbs) overhead shoulder press, 40kg (88 lbs) squat, 50 kg(110 lbs) deadlift and 40kg (88 lbs) floor chest press. I only have 50 kg (110 lbs) of weight. And I'm in a 3rd world country (India) so can't trust the hygiene of gyms in this Covid crisis.
    Trust me guys weight training with medium weight and more reps is the key. I am much fitter than I have ever been. Don't go heavy unless you're on juice.
    Stay safe, put on your mask, avoid touching your face and wash your hands after taking off the mask.

In Thailand jumping rope & running are so crucial to their agility, conditioning & their arm/shoulder endurance because they are such an affordable training tool in a sport where poverty is traditionally rampant. Definitely no need to drop $100 or more on some tool to get you warmed up & sweating.
