Rosalia recently moved to Los Angeles to work on her third album, but born and lived all her life in Spain...She is a true genius, her dancing is as good as her vocals,and she does it all, the writing, production,etc...
in just 2 years she is collecting GRAMMYS like crazy, both latin and USA GRAMMYS, last year one of her music videos "Con altura" had more views than any other female singer in youtube.
Besides J.Balvin and Pharrel Williams, she also collab with Travis Scott, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, James Blake, The weekend, Billie Eilish, Rihanna (Savage x Fenty show),etc..
I recommend you to react to her music videos too, some of them are masterpiece...I would start with something like "Malamente" or "De aqui no sales", but anyway, all of her music videos are gold and very unique.

Gracias por esta reacción. Seguro que hay que tener cierta sensibilidad para apreciar este género. Es realmente fantástico. Ella tiene, obviamente influencias flamencas, género que estudió, y seguramente le ayudó a darle una forma única, única, en su música. Siempre preocupada por rodearse de otros grandes como el guitarrista que le acompañaba. Te mando un abrazo y feliz año 🤗🤗

She's amazing! I highly recommend her albums "Los Angeles" and "El Mal Querer" not just for her voice but for the experimental flamenco guitar style (which is sometimes played in a minimalist and thus freshly modern way).

Yes the guitarist is Raul Refree. The song has flamenco vocals but the guitar playing is a departure or a modern twist on traditional flamenco, which is based more on finger picking than strumming.
Rosalia has been on a creative journey of her own. She is often quoted in interviews as stating that she always tries to make music with risk and through experimentation. As of late she has been going down the reggaeton route and receiving criticism from all angles. Some people think that she is selling herself short or a cynical ploy to win over the Latin American market. There might be an element of truth in this but those of us who have followed her for quite some time know she is a lover of music in all its forms and she always has something up her sleeve. She may surprise us yet again when she releases her new album next year.
