that moving scroll probably wore out the slots that allow that scroll move ... clearances are soo tight on those scrolls any excess movement creates terrible noises ... probably going to give a Danfoss replacement scroll ... next level steve!

sounds like the rust inhibitor bug we had 8 times this summer with scrolls , use the ac renew after the change out. just in case it did work every time .just saying we changed out a 3 year old system compressor under warranty 3 times and the 3rd re Michel said use this and this system is fine and the others as well. who knows it sounded like what we heard good luck

Sounds like a coffee can full of marbles. Someone used acid based coil cleaner on that unit too. I'd just replace the whole unit next year. Some more business for next cooling season Steve.
My neighbors AC is making horrible, nasty noise!, there is a small white, round tube like object on top of the ac with two wires (black and white wires) that is connected to the compressor, is there any one here who can tell me what that could be?, this PS machine turns on like it has its own mind, like a sensor installed in it, whenever I go out on to my patio that shit starts running, nasty noise, it is a mix of several different noises coming out of one AC?... Our problem is that the hvac unit does not take breaks--once the neighbor turn it on its own for hours and days without turn off once it reaches the temperature set. BUT THIS SUMMER THE UNIT WONT SHUT DOWN.EVER. VERY STRANGE AND.WE CAN'T FIGURE OUTVHOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE (can't ask the neighbor cuz he is really ahresive and rude to everyone and don't want to be on his radar.

I have the M500 you check it with the compressor off put the red on a compressor terminal and the black on a ground/discharge line

compressor was locked up and wouldn't start ... hard start boosts the voltage to make that compressor start
Boost the voltage more then the voltage from capacitor?
Yes ... hard start is a brand all it is is a self contained potential relay ... it has the potential to add if needed

It was leaking they had to replace it bill was over 500 plus more!🙄🙄

A scoll.compressor doesn't have any pistons in it, that's why it's called a scroll compressor because it's has two scrolls that compress the fluid
